Can you put a 75W eqvivalent CFL spiral bulb for the light ?

The socket has a label saying that you can only use a maximum 9.7 Watt LED bulb in it. A 60 Watt equivalent LED bulb consumes 9.5 Watts. A 75 W equivalent CFL will probably demand 20 Watts, which is more than the socket is rated for. It may not be safe to do so.

Would this be ok in a room with a 7'4" ceiling?

the bottom of the fan in 12" from the ceiling so it would be 6'-4" above your floor. the chains dangle further still.

Juts got one online and installed it but can't feel any airflow.. what can be wrong?

It is probably not the fan but the fact it is mounted so close to the ceiling. Also, ceiling fans are best used on low setting and on all the time - it is not so much to create a breeze as to circulate air and keep the room temperature more even.

I own several really expensive ceiling fans and have also owned probably 25 other fans in my life in varying price ranges. When I needed 3 fans with lights for a long, covered screen porch, I looked everywhere and found these. I figured that they might be crap that I'd want to return, so I was surprised to find they are decent little fans. No frills, everything fits, good paint job, turn it on and it goes. Perfect for $50 each. As for people complaining that it's too dim... jeez, just go buy a higher watt led bulb and shut up. Problem solved. For those that complain that it buzzes.... tighten all the screws and 90% of any noise will go away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dcline from Low-Profile Fan at a Great Value I have just finished installing my first of two of these fans in secondary bedrooms in our house. Because I am 6'5" and the rooms have 8' ceilings, I needed very low profile fans to avoid hitting my head on them. Since they replaced the main overhead light in these rooms, an integrated light was also required. This fan was the perfect solution, and also a great value at less than half the price of any other option. Installation was easy and straight-forward, the instructions were easy to understand (this was my first ceiling fan installation), and the fan operates perfectly at all speeds in both directions with no noticable noise and no balancing required (though a balancing kit is included). My only complaint is that it only holds a single 60w bulb, which was simply not enough light for our rooms. Fortunately there was enough space under the dome to add a twin lampholder adapter (which was available at my local home depot) and two low-profile 13w CFL bulbs.

This was not my first Hampton Bay product purchase, so I knew the quality was there. This fan was super easy to install, takes (1) Energy eff bulb, that provides more than enough lighting. It was installed in my sons bedroom (He actually installed it) that is approx. 12' x 12' and provides more than enough circulation to keep the room cool. The three speed reversable feature should be standard for all fans, but it is not-This fan DID NOT DISAPPOINT at all! If you are looking for a modern looking fan, that cools and allows you to keep a few dollars in your bank account, then this is the fan to purchase. ***The ONLY Con to this purchase is with the pull chains: The drilled holes are located fine, but chains are difficult to use as they are coming from the fan, through a housing in the light kit and are on somewhat on a slant. They seem to get caught on edges of the drilled area.

Specifically bought this fan from Home Depot because it came with an LED light kit. The fans from an Amazing online company in the same price range did not have the bulb included. When I got it all put together, I learned that the included build did not work correctly with the remote system I added. There is a specific bulb that is needed as the included one strobes like a party light. Seems pretty standard that remotes could be added. Now I need to go back to the store and purchase the special bulb. Also, this fan wasn’t available in-store. It needed to be ordered and I chose in-store pickup because the price was just under the amount for free shipping. The date available changed at least three times in the week that I waited for it to arrive. Other online vendors do a much better job at estimating and dekivering their products. They also arrive right on my doorstep. Home Depot has some work to do if they want to compete in this type of ordering service. The $5-10 I saved probably wasn’t worth the extra wait time, having to drive to the store and now having to go back and buy 5ge special bulb.

The fan is quiet and moves a good amount of air for it's size. Suitable for a bedroom or kitchen. Would be too small for a large living room. I've installed so many fans over the years I didn't have to read the directions. All the parts were included, seemed to be of good quality and were well packed in the box. One thing I would say, don't buy a fan like this if your expecting it to be the primary light source for a large room. It uses a 60 watt (max) bulb that is under the glass cover. It doesn't put out enough light for a large living or game room but is perfect for a bedroom. Also, I would upgrade the knobs on the end of the pull chains. The ones that come with the fan are plain, but can easily be upgraded for a few dollars at Home Depot. Overall, it's a great buy. At this price you could upgrade all of your bedroom and bathroom ceiling fans.

I love the dark color. They are perfect for kids bedrooms. My only critique is that the light is very dim. I can't tell if it is the lightbulb it the cover, but either way I would prefer for the light to be much brighter.
