does it blow the heat out toward you

AnswersYes it does but the blower is very weak even on high so you would need to sit very close to it. I have had other electric space heaters in the past that radiates much more heat than this one

AnswersIt *CAN* be used outdoors on a patio, but I doubt it would be very effective. It's designed for use in an enclosed room. You're probably better off with a heater *designed* for use on a patio - those are often propane-fueled, and have some sort of cap / downward deflector.

I'm very glad I was able to search for, order...
I'm very glad I was able to search for, order and pick up this item all within a matter of hours. The heat in my building had unexpectedly turned off, so having a reliable heat source was paramount - although I had to keep the heater very close to me because it didn't exactly fill up my apartment, it was far better then having no heat.
