I just ordered this fan from Home Depot.....it advertised a fan that reverses with the remote.....that's why I bought it....the pictures clearly show a black remote with a fan button that if you hold it down, it will reverse. This fan comes with model #99372 that does not reverse just like Hunter stated in an earlier comment. I need a fan with reverse remote.....my ceilings are 12 feet high and I can't climb a ladder to change direction of blades.....model # of the correct remote would help.....
You CAN reverse the blades using the remote. Make sure your fan is moving at the slowest speed. Press and hold the fan button on the remote until you hear a beeping sound. The blades should reverse direction.
Yes but you have to buy the bundled receiver that comes in the kit Model 99372. Pair the remote with the fan, all worked well for me. The only thing I noticed is that you can reuse the the new receiver in another fan.
Yes, it will.
This answer may or may not be responsive; however, my fans are powered on and off by the wall switch. The fan motor and light will operate together or individually based on the positions of their respective chain-pull. If both chain-pulls are in the on-position, both fan and light operate when the wall switch is turned on. If only one chain-pull is activated, that function (fan or light) will turn on when the wall switch is turned on. If both chain-pulls are in the off-position, neither the fan, nor the light will be activated by turning on the wall switch.
Remove the globe. The switch that allows you to reverse fan direction is next to the light bulbs. Cannot be done with a remote.
I installed this fan in a small bedroom. The light was bright enough and I believe it dims w the remote.
It is RF.
This came from the Hunter fan and control website. I have not tried this remedy but it should work. Solution: Cycle the fan/light switch (at the wall) OFF, and then back into the ON position. Quick-press the pair button once. The remote’s blue lights on the front should illuminate once paired. *lights and audible chirp may occur on fan models equipped with SIMPLEconnect functionality. Remote & receiver should now be paired, and all remote functions should be working properly.
In order to ,provide power a wall switch would be required. With wall switch on you will be able to turn light on or off, fan on or off and speed with remote.
