Cassius 52 in. Indoor/Outdoor Premier Bronze Ceiling Fan

Ordered 2 fans to replace 2 existing 10+ year old outdoor fans (that still worked but the housing had rusted out). Ordered 2 @ 24" down rods in the same order. Everything arrived together and assembly, installation and connection to the existing wiring and junction boxes was very straightforward. They have a nice contemporary look but, having only 3 blades, they don't push as much air as a 5 blade fan but are adequate for my installation.

Simple, clean, industrial/modern look. I got the white one. Motor is quiet and fan is balanced making no ticking noises etc. I ordered 3 and all 3 work great so far. I've only have had them a few weeks so can't comment long term.

This fan not only fits our style but was a great price at $100 all in! It was easily installed under an hour. I appreciate the forward and reverse settings. We will definitely consider this fan for our other two bedrooms. My only complaint is that there was a flaw in the control housing paint that made it look like a deep scratch but upon further inspection, something was actually in the paint.

I live in the Midwest and work out in my garage quite a bit but when we get those 95 and 100 degree summers it makes it unbearable to work outside without some kind of air flow. I do have a floor fan I'm really really happy with now (I recently reviewed as well) but I was hoping to have a ceiling fan to provide circulation to the whole space plus the convenience of having it always there and not having to put it away like a floor fan. Installation: I installed mine without a box directly mounted to the studs. I spliced in the correct size wire with three prong plug, drilled a hole with a rubber gourmet in the upper housing and ran the plug to an outlet. This was very easy to do if you don't have a box and electrical. Just make sure you take all the proper safety precautions or hire an electrician. Always make sure you have it stud or appropriate fan box mounted Quality/looks: The materials used is typical Hunter very nice and it looks great. It’s very industrial looking, Perfect for a garage space. The bottom plate with logo is nice as always. Performance: So with all that said, after a straight forward installation and seeing how nice it looked I switched it on and was immediately disappointed. Simply put the fan does not have enough speed to generate proper airflow. I double checked the outlet and wiring to make sure i didn't do anything wrong, It’s defiantly how it’s made or maybe a defective motor. I did use the shortest rod that it comes with putting the blades about 12" from the ceiling possibly reducing airflow some but still it should have more power than this otherwise why include that short rod at all. I can stand directly below it and produces a mild breeze. For an outdoor fan this is totally disappointing. I'm going to keep it up for now to see if maybe the motor needs to be broken in or something.
