Beautiful fan, right out of the box I thought it was lovely. Really makes my little boy's room fun and whimsical. I knocked off a star because the chain for changing the fan speed gets caught in the light fixture; once you pull the chain it's stuck and you have to take the light off to relax it. So there will be no changing the fan speed, which is inconvenient.
In addition, a high fan speed makes the fan wobble a worrisome amount. Hubs is a handy guy, been doing facilities and maintenance work for the better part of the last ten years. I know error on his part is possible, but it seems unlikely to me. So anyway, we keep the fan speed on medium and the wobble is gone.
Other than those two things, it's an eye catching light and my kid seems to enjoy it quite a bit. Couldn't wait to show his grandma, even though he's had it in his room for about two weeks already (that's an eternity to a three year old). Does it meet my expectations? For looks, yes. For performance, no. Perhaps mine was just defective.

This fan works great in a small child’s room. I gave it four stars because it hangs low and they don’t tell you that on the website. We have to turn it off when my son sleeps on the top bunk bed because the fan spins close to the bed height. Otherwise it’s quiet and cooling.

Purchased this fan for my 18 month old grandson. I was worried that a 48" fan would look too big for his bedroom but gave it a try since it doesn't come in a smaller size. It looks great! Moreover, my grandson loves it. We run it on low speed and it provides a gentle breeze and is very quiet. I was also impressed that it ran very smoothly with no wobble at all, even on high speed. My only complaint is with the energy efficient CFL bulbs that it came with. Apparently they are not rated for dimming as they make a humming noise when you dim them. We will have to replace them. It is a great fan.

Very sharp looking fan! Directions were easy to follow and seems well built. Installed the optional remote control for convenience. I went with the black side of the blades for an adult look. Have it in my office. Love it!
