Thanks for your question regarding the inlet size! All spray bodies are ½” inlet threads because the flow rates of the nozzles do not require such a large opening for the water flow. Several types of fittings can be used to adapt the ½” threads to ¾” threads.
the 15 foot adjustable nozzle is included, but yes you could put an MP nozzle on it
no
Just the spray coverage from 0 to 360 degrees is adjustable, not the spray distance, unless you lower the water pressure going to the nozzle.
its zero to 360 degrees
This is a very easy replacement. Cut the sod/grass around the head - about a 1 foot square section. Then dig carefully around the sprinkler head until you get to the attachment pipe- I usually do this by hand, as you do not want to pierce the sprinkler pipe system with a shovel. The sprinkler head just simply screws onto the pipe- so just carefully unscrew the sprinkler head. Once removed - avoid getting dirt into the open sprinkler pipe. Then simply screw on the replacement head until its tight. Fill your hole back in and your done
Ideally, approximately 8-10, based on head flow rate of 1.5gpm. If you use Hunter's MP Rotator heads, you can probably run double that many due to their low flow rates. The previous reviewer is also correct, in that you really should check your actual flow rate coming out of the valve, since many variables affect the real-world flow rate...such as valve design, type and number of fittings and branches off of the header line, etc.
