These nozzles can be installed on most spray bodies that use female threaded nozzles, including Hunter ProSprays. Both the arc and radius of the nozzle can be changed for the specific coverage. It is not required for these nozzles to be used on a pressure-regulated spray body, but they are most efficient when operated at 40 PSI, and having a pressure-regulated body makes it easy. The pressure of the zone may be able to be reduced by using the flow control stem on the electric control valve. To note, some states like Hawaii, California, Washington, Colorado, and Vermont require all new spray bodies to be pressure-regulated.

A:  Yes, I would recommend replacing ALL spray nozzles with the appropriate size Hunter MP Rotator Nozzle. These are more efficient, well worth the investment.

A:  Thanks for your question about the Hunter MP Rotator nozzles! Yes, they would be perfect for watering groundcover material! And they can be used on a ½” nipple, but there first needs to be an adapter to convert from ½” male threads to female nozzle threads, but then they will be standing up exposed in the ground cover. Another option would be to install them on 4” or 6” popup sprinklers. The sprinkler could be installed where the top of the body is just below the top of the groundcover, keeping it hidden, and then the sprinkler would popup to clear the groundcover when irrigating.

A:  These are excellent as they put out bigger droplets more efficiently. You leave them on longer than sprayers, but the go deeper into the ground. You end up using much less water. You need to have a Hunter (or other similar) sprinkler body to mount this on top of, but they're cheap, depending on the model you get, anywhere from $6 to $23.
