Oakhurst 52 in. LED Low Profile Indoor White Ceiling Fan with Light Kit

Not sure what people are complaining of. Ive had this fan for almost a year with no issue. Quiet and it moves some air. Took me about 20 minutes start to finish to install im also in a trade so im more mechanically inclined. Will be buying 2 more for my other bedrooms and a 3rd for my livingroom

Easy installation and a great fan. I replaced the led bulbs it came with that were warm white bulbs with daylight led bulbs. As I prefer a brighter light. Very quiet and moves a good amount of air. Works great in my living room.

Easy to assemble and install

The finish is very nice. Good size for my livingroom and doesnt look cheap. I like the quality and efficiency.

I got this fan a week ago it looks beautiful i love it but it has a smell when i have a fan going. Everything else seems perfect. The only thing that Im afraid that it might be overheating. Its also a pain to install. Going to have to remove and return.

Overall it’s a nice fan but if you’re installing it in an older home (1990’s) the mounting plate won’t work. I had to drill a hole in it to mount it. Also, the LED lights that come with it are general purpose and super bright. It’s quiet and works great. It did take longer to put together than I’d like due to the mounting plate issue.

BUYER BEWARE!!! I purchased the Oakwood Ceiling fan on June 22. At the time I was in the store and only skimmed reviews but wish I had paid more attention. I paid for a licensed electrician to install the fan on June 23. The fan worked fine for three days on medium speed. On day three I turned the fan on high speed and within an hour noticed a very obnoxious smell; it was strong enough to make your eyes burn. I paid again for the electrician to return and he checked all the connections. Everything is fine from an electrical standpoint so I chalked it up to perhaps just getting a lemon or perhaps had some sort of internal damage and re-purchased the same fan at my local Home Depot because I liked the style. Today is July 7. The electrician returned so that he could swap out the fans(installation fee number two). I turned the fan on high and once again within the hour the chemical smell is so strong I had to open my windows. Finally I sat down and googled Hunter Oakhurst ceiling fan and noticed there are other reviews that mentioned the same situation of a strong chemical smell when the fan is put on high speed. I wish I had seen that sooner. Needless to say I have now bought a completely different brand of ceiling fan. Unfortunately I have now had to pay for the electrician to come back a THIRD time and pay another installation fee. When the electrician removed the mounting bracket from the ceiling you can now start to see burn marks into the sheet rock where this fan motor runs extremely hot. I’m very glad I went to the extra effort to get this fan removed from my home. I could’ve potentially had a much more serious problem. I had my receipts for both fans and thankfully my local Home Depot was very apologetic and refunded the money for the two defective fans but I am just sick knowing that I will have spent about $250 in installation fees (not covered by the Hunter warranty) for two fans that are worthless, not to mention wasted vacation days from work. DO NOT BUY!!!!

Well packed, easy to install (we were replacing an older fan, so half the work was done). Instructions are straight forward, and small parts are packed in individual bags with identification marks to be sure one uses the correct part in the correct place. The finish on this unit is exceptional, including the blades. Lights to fan electrical hook-up is a single multi-prong plug which cannot be plugged together incorrectly. The only hiccup in our installation was the screw holes for attaching the lighting unit to the fan were a bit small. It could have been the paint having reduced the diameter. At any rate a couple of twists with an awl, and we were good to go. This fan runs very quietly, and we did not have to use the balancing kit which accompanied the fan. We have other Hunter fans, and this one is equal to the quality we got in our other Hunters.

This fan stopped working after 15 months of use. The fan spins very slowly and does not change speed. I reached out to Hunter Support who took more than 8 days to respond. Upon finally responding they replied that the wiring harness had gone bad. On Hunter's own website there are several members who complain that the wiring harness linked to is of low quality and breaks again after approximately a year of use. Very disappointed. The quality of the hardware, fixtures, and instructions is high. Hunter outsourced the electrical components to China and coincidentally only warrants it for 1-Year. Their "Lifetime warranty" only applies to the motor, nothing else. I'm not sure what I'll do, buy a new fan, or pay the yearly tax to use the fan I otherwise like. Very disappointed Hunter - your electrical, warranty, and customer service is lacking.
