No. The speeds are fixed. If you have it on the highest setting, that's as high as it gets. If not, use the arrow buttons on the remote to increase the speed of the fan.

The fan has a very Sleek look. When I swapped out for the shorter downrod, that was supplied, it looks even better, tighter to the ceiling. Installation was easy. No adjustment needed on the blades, they were balanced perfectly out of the box. Nice not having any pull chains, gives it a cleaner look. As long as the remote lasts! Excellent fan!

So far, so good. A little bit tricky to put on the blades after the motor was already hung. Learned my lesson on that one. Really appreciate the power this fan has in comparison to our old Hampton Bay Fan that this one replaced. Also the light is much brighter. Really satisfied with this fan so far.

Hunter makes (IMO) the absolute best ceiling fans. I read most of the reviews before buying this fan so I’d be prepared for any issues that might come up during install. I’ve installed about a dozen ceiling fans in my life. Considering that manufacturers have adopted (over the years) a more installer friendly design, I expected better from Hunter. I bought this fan to replace the cheap one I installed in my master BR about a year ago (motor noise & poor air movement (it was a gift to us). Day 1: I changed out the downrod for the shorter one that was included, placed the cover and hung the motor on the mount in prep for wiring. The wiring instructions were were easy to follow. The wire-nuts provided worked fine for the receiver wiring but I used larger, more heavy duty nuts for the rest. My problems started with the small access gap that was left to actually DO the wiring. The short downrod, existing house wires being somewhat short, the cover having to be placed prior to wiring (no way around that), the motor hanging square to the ceiling rather than tipped to one side which would allow more room, and a remote receiver that’s not integrated but a separate unit, makes a challenging install an absolute nightmare. I finally finished the wiring, got everything tucked back in without anything coming apart, and the cover wouldn’t mount (no way, no how). I fought this one for close to an hour. When I started to consider getting out the hammer I decided to give up for the day. Day 2: I had to undo everything and take it down because the cover absolutely would not go on. Since I did, I decided to change the downrod back to the longer one that had been pre-installed to give me more room to do the wiring when it was re-hung....Nope! The set-screw (that you wrench down) deforms the threads so it can’t be un-screwed. I was able to determine the problem with the cover; The drill holes had been punched through (too much pressure on the bit) leaving the inside of the holes too flared which prevented the cover from going around the steel mount. I squeezed them in with pliers, then dry fitted the mount and screws to make sure they’d all fit. I began the re-install. Electrical tape around the wire nuts (I used to do this all the time but got out of the habit) made tucking everything back into the box a bit easier. As another reviewer said; lining up the screw holes for the fan blades was frustrating but (having read their comments) I used an awl to line up the holes which helped a lot. The rest of the install went smoothly. The fan has great air movement. The motor is silent. The light works great and dims properly (there are separate instructions for the remote included in the package with the remote). No strange odors or sounds at any speed. It’s ridiculous that the light cover has to be removed to change the fan direction. I’ve never seen this in ANY fan I’ve either installed or used. All in all, I’d buy this again. Having a fan with good airflow, silent operation, and the reliability I’ve always gotten from Hunter is worth the aggravation of the install. Hunter could definitely make some simple changes that would improve the install process. The cheap fan I removed was originally installed in under 2 hours...That’s not a good thing. If this had been the first ceiling fan I’d ever installed I’d probably never buy another. Although it’s still an improvement from 25 years ago.

Nice fan. But Hunter people forgot to say anything in instructions or online about how to turn on the light dimming option. So it doesn't dim and you have to call Hunter to find out the secret. Turn off the power to fan for 30 seconds. Hold up and down arrows on emote and switch on power. Coating on fan blades very thin and cheap. I repainted mine to match some trim.

Outstanding product. The directions were very easy to follow and the fan was easy to install. The only problem was getting the fan blades to line up with the holes on the motor. Otherwise, recommend this sharp looking fan!

(What's this)
This is an awesome product that scores an A+ in all categories. The fan is very stylish and doesn't appear to be overly contemporary or simple looking. I think the fan would look great in just about any setting. I have a larger great room that requires a larger fan and this 60 inch fan gets the job done. The box is packaged very nicely with extremely easy reading instructions. (See Photo) With any product anymore, I make it a point to read the instructions several times prior to unpackaging the item. Installation didn't appear to be too difficult. I am extremely handy and not afraid to start any type of installation project, this Hunter fan is not that difficult. The look of the fan and light in my larger room, looks fantastic!!! Great Product!!

Seeds Program Review
(What's this)
I just finished installing this fan, so here are some fresh observations: 1. Installation is difficult. a. I have installed many ceiling fans, and this is my second installation involving a remote transmitter. The instructions were unclear that the battery had to be inserted into the transmitter and paired – to the contrary they stated (pg 16) the device was paired at the factory. It took several minutes for the pairing to complete, leaving me wondering whether I had a defective unit. The transmitter did not “beep” as the instructions stated, but the light flashed 3-times in succession – puzzling. b. A couple of small down-rods are included for flush or near-ceiling installation mounting, but if you have a slanted or high ceiling, you will require a longer down-rod (I did). Fortunately, substitute down-rods are available on-line and in-store at the local Home Depot, and the instruction manual provided a detailed description of how to make this substitution, which was very easy to do. c. There are NO extra fasteners supplied – you will be working on a ladder and there are a lot of fasteners used (15 just to attach the fan blades). There is a better-than-even chance you will drop (or lose) at least one fastener (as I did) and you will likely spend time on the floor looking for it, or sorting through your junk drawer to find a replacement. Fasteners are dirt cheap, and I appreciate manufacturers who supply a few extra to make DIY installation easier. d. Installation of the one (non-keyed) switch housing screw (pg 14, instruction manual) which holds up the light housing panel, was simply impossible. The screw is too short to find the hole in the housing panel. I searched my own supply of spare fasteners and replaced the supplied (1/2” long) screw with a longer one (1” long) that worked fine. I ended up spending 20 minutes just to complete this small part of the installation – it was frustrating. e. Installation of the fan blades was made easier by slots in the housing that held the blade in place, so that you could use both hands to insert the fasteners holding the blade to the blade irons. Nice design feature here. f. The glass globe did not sit flush with the light housing panel – seems to be a factory fit/finish problem in the housing panel. The misalignment is not obvious from a distance so we will live with it, but it’s not right, and disappointing. g. The installation manual offers no assistance for alternate electric wiring schematics – you’re on your own (thank goodness for the Internet). I am relatively handy when it comes to electric wiring, but I was replacing an existing fan configuration that had separate switches for speed and light – this product uses just a single connection. Eventually I figured it out, but there is zero information in the installation manual to assist you. 2. Fan Operation Is Limited. a. To reverse the fan direction, it is necessary to get on a ladder, remove the glass globe and push a switch. Really? The manufacturer couldn’t locate a tiny switch on the outside of the housing? b. The remote control has no reverse fan function. Another sigh, really? c. The remote control has no light dimming function. Another sigh, really? 3. The fan, blades, steel housing and glass globe are an attractive, modern design. The motor is quiet, and no humming can be heard at any speed. At full speed, it provides excellent air movement. 4. The product is supplied with a wall-mount for the transmitter -- so you just have to remember to park the remote so that you can find it when you need it. If you lose/misplace the remote, a wall switch will operate to turn the fan/light to off, or to on using the last function (speed/light on or off) that was set. It would have been better if the product was offered with a standard, fully-functional wall switch as well as the remote transmitter. Although it’s terrific to be able to control the fan/speed/light using the remote, I just know that losing the transmitter down the road, will become a post-purchase regret. I’ve purchased competing products, from respected manufacturers, some offering greater remote functionality for less money. Although this is a handsome fixture, there are just too many product deficiencies and missing features for me to be able to recommend it.
