I really think this rig is pretty sweet I have never used a ratchet strap quite like it. This thing with the pull of a lever retracts on its own. No more looking for two ends that will work together this all stays together. I did give 4 stars for quality because I doubt it's ability to take on big jobs but for the standard uses that most of us will face 98% of the time this rig will be more than sufficient. I use it to secure my zero turn mower to my trailer (en route I have had 1 inch straps break from it bouncing around it does not even move with this strap)

This ratcheting cargo strap is made with a heavy steel frame with a bolt hole in a steel tab that is attached to the end of the body of the ratchett. There is a short strap also that is 1 7/8" wide with a steel plate with a bolt hole. This cargo strap can be secured to a truck bed or trailer using the 3/4" bolt hole and included bolt sand nut. It can also be secured using carabiner or clevis pin to secure it to an existing hold down.
The strap is 10 feet long and 1 7/8" wide. The short strap is approximately 16" long by 1 7/8" wide.
The hooks are plastic coated. The handle is also plastic coated and wide enough to accommodate your hand comfortably and securely. The handle is two part with a release that is activated by sqeezing the release. It is very easy to operate.

Ordered this to use in my hauler for securing loads.
It's rated at 1,000-pounds working load limit with a break strength of 3,000 pounds. This is more than enough for my uses!
I like the wide strap, it's less likely to cut into the secured load.
It measures 10-feet from hook to hook. Ratchet handle is large and easy to grip.

This is one of those items that's hard to review. It either works or it doesn't. This ratchet works and works well.
I have a ratchet provided by my employer for use on the job and this Huskey is so much nicer. Unlike all the others I have ever used use, this one has the webbing nicely rolled up and out of the way for storage. Hard to believe there is 10 feet tucked away in there. Normally it would all be rolled up then tied to keep it from coming unwound. Don't have that problem here. Having the ability to bolt the ratchet down to, say a truck bed, is a really great plus. This ratchet can work easily bolted down or not.
The ratchet handle has a comfortable, plastic cover making it easier to grip and use. No more pinched and sore fingers. The 1000 lb. capacity is enough for all but the most extreme jobs. If I was going to recommend a ratchet to a friend to buy, this would be the one.
Tough Tie Down

This is a good performer and the wide strap reduces cutting into the load. The box on the front of the strap packaging holds the short end of the strap, nut, washer and bolt. The nut and the washer had both wriggled out of the box so if you buy one of these make sure all the parts are there.
This strap is designed to be permanently mounted to a truck or trailer using the aforementioned nut, washer and bolt. I do not want that so I fastened the short strap to the ratchet housing and it is secure and works just fine.
The maximum working capacity if 1,000 lbs and the breaking strain is 3,000 lbs. More than enough for my needs. The ratchet has the usual features and a fast rewind feature that can be used to take up the slack before ratcheting the strap to securely hold the load. When using the fast rewind to rehouse the full length of the strap it needs to be noted that it can travel at a fair speed and the heavy duty metal hook can flail about and become a dangerous projectile so be careful!
The full length of the strap is just ten feet from hook end to hook end. Bright yellow makes the strap easily visible and it is rot, mold and mildew resistant. Handy to know if this strap is to be used outside all the time.

It was easy to use but its broke the first time I used it. The strap is pretty thin. It wasn't under much load either. Maybe there was a little rubbing on the strap that occurred. This is the only thing that I can think of that could have happened. I immediately switched back to my heavier tie down. This one is going in the trash.
