How do you know if you are getting the high or low brightness mode?

The first setting is high, second setting is low, and last setting is the strobe function.

I have a Husky flashlight that requires C batteries but I can't get them in. Its like the chamber is a hair to small.

This is a new one for me, but easily fixed. Husky flashlights have a lifetime warranty on them. Simply take it to your local store and if they can not show you how to get the batteries installed, they will provide you with a new one. Hope this helps!

Overall, this flashlight works pretty well. I got this to replace an old MAG light that my wife kept in her car. One of the batteries swelled up in there and so here I am getting this. While this Husky light isn't quite the same from a potential weapon standpoint, the flashlight still seems very well built (though I did not run over it with a semi truck to test this...). The key differences are that there is a rubberized coating around the light itself and the end of the battery chamber, you cannot twist the lamp head to focus between a flood light and a spot light, and the button to turn it on is located on the back of the light rather than the side. This probably adds durability to the flashlight, but it also adds my only gripe about the light. When holding it such that I would turn it on by clicking the button with my thumb, I can't quite get it to click and stay on. My thumb is just not nimble enough to bend in and push the button far enough down. The last key difference is the different modes that the light has. While the old MAG had just "On" and "Off," the Husky light has "On-High (600 lumens)," "On-Low (200 lumens)," "On-Strobe," and "Off" settings. You cycle through these by turning the light on and off in quick succession. Both the 600 and 200 lumen settings are plenty bright; do not look directly into the light. The strobe setting would be a great option to blind a potential assailant to disorient them and get away.

(What's this)
I just received the Husky 600 Lumen LED Virtually Unbreakable Aluminum Flashlight in Black. Straight away I surprised at the weight to it. It does not seem to be a cheap flimsy one at all! It is a good weight and feels very durable. It has three different modes. It can be on high which is 600 lumens, low which is 200 lumens or you can use it in strobe mode which is also pretty darn bright! Switching between these modes is as simple as clicking the button on the end of the flashlight. I feel like the led bulb will definitely outlast normal bulbs. The location of the button also reduces the risk of accidently bumping it while in use compared to those with buttons on the side. At the handle end of the flashlight it has a rubber coating that is pretty thick. It is also around the end of the light so if you drop it there is some protection. This seems like it will definitely add to the durability of this flashlight. It takes four AA batteries to operate. I have not had it long enough to speak on the longevity of battery life in it yet. I do like that instead of the batteries just being spring loaded by the cap they actually made this with a core that comes out and holds 2 batteries on each side. Gone are the days of taking off the cap and having batteries come flying out at you! The body of the flashlight itself has a textured metal for better grip. One word of warning is that if you get this light even though it has batteries in it you can not just turn it on…. First you need to open the battery compartment and remove the plastic circle. Husky was nice enough to put it there to preserve the battery life however they did not put anything on the packaging to inform someone of this. I almost returned it because I thought it was defective but decided to try changing the batteries and found it!! Husky made another amazing product and are backing it with their lifetime warranty which makes is even better. No regrets with this flashlight and I definitely recommend it!

This Husky 600 Lumen Led Flashlight is fabulous, made very well. It has some weight to it, feels good in the hand. I needed this to walk to my shed at night and to take my little dog out for a walk around the neighborhood. The cool thing about this Flashlight is it takes AA batteries, and shines the light quite a distance. I would recommend this Husky 600 Lumen LED Flashlight to anyone, it's great to keep in the Car for an emergency.

(What's this)
This Husky 600 Lumen LED flashlight is very nice! It weighs exactly 16 ounces with the included batteries. It is about 8 1/2" long. It uses 4 AA batteries. Mine came with Eveready Energizer Max batteries. The flashlight has an end cap (Tail switch) button that controls 3 light modes, High, Low and Strobe. Even the low mode is quite sufficiently bright. This flashlight does not have a zoom feature, but my opinion is that it does not need one. The packaging states that the battery life in high mode is 3.5 hours and in low mode (200 Lumens) the batteries should last 8 hours. I cannot address that personally since I have chosen not to purposefully drain the batteries. I can confirm Q at that this flashlight appears to be built very solidly. Only the end cap can be removed, and it has two O ring seals on it . The high mode will easily light up my utility building from about 65ft away (see photos). The tail switch is easy to use. The flashlight also has a Lifetime Warranty. I'm very impressed with this flashlight.

Awesome flashlight! None brighter! The aluminum construction makes for a well balanced light -- easy to hold. With the ends rubberized, it's less likely to scratch other objects. With 1500 lumens, it's extremely bright, but also has a low light setting and a strobe setting. My husband claimed this one -- it will be housed in his vehicle. We both are pleased with it.

A really good quality flashlight. It's made of aluminum but is still hefty. It uses 6 AA batteries which were included, legit energizer batteries. It's waterproof to one meter so it's good for general outdoor use It's got a low, medium and high intensity setting as well as a strobe setting. At the brightest setting it puts out bright white light, not in a tight spot, more of a flood pattern, but it is bright. The light comes from 3 leds The light has a rubbery coating and overall is a solid flashlight.

For those interested in the country of origin, this product was manufactured in CHINA. The unit is a bit hefty in weight, may be an issue for long duration use, but appears balanced in its handle ability. Unit comes with the batteries, but they tend to disconnect when the unit is dropped. Instead of just reseating the batteries I taped them into place and had no further issues. The amount of light produced is quite amazing. I could clearly identify trees at 150 feet, and the shed at 225 feet. I ram a Jeep over the unit and there was no damage.

(What's this)
Husky says this thing is virtually unbreakable, and as far as the flashlight body goes I would tend to agree. In my opinion the weak point is the plastic battery case that holds the 4 AA batteries; the case is similar to those used in those $1 small 3AAA flashlights and seems rather flimsy. I wouldn’t even point this out if it wasn’t billed as “virtually indestructible”.

I wanted a larger and more powerful flashlight, this one meets the bill. I have either small or very large flashlights that I use outside in the dark or during power outages. I love the two brightness levels on this flashlight and its durable construction ("virtually unbreakable"). The light has a nice long beam and is super bright at 1500 lumens. The light has a high, low and strobe function. Switching between either is a bit of a learning curve; you have to tap somewhat lightly the button on the bottom to switch between modes. When you reach the mode you want, push the button all the way in. The flashlight is also waterproof up to 1m deep and takes 6 AA batteries. This flashlight is made in China

The Husky 1500 Lumens LED Virtually Unbreakable Aluminum Flashlight, Black is a very sturdy, tough flashlight. It has a high beam, a low beam and a strobe light. It came with the 6 AA batteries needed which was nice. It has a lifetime warranty which you can't beat. I would definitely recommend this flashlight. It would make a great gift for someone you love and want to keep safe.
