      Answer This Question

A:  Probably will work fine. Just make sure you secure the object you're lifting.

A:  Yes, I believe it can work pulling less than 500 lbs. I used mine to pull a Subaru Tribeca full-size SUV up a steep driveway without any damage to the strap.

          Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your interest in our Husky 15 ft. tow Strap. The strap length is not adjustable.

          by|May 14, 2020

A:  Adjustable? If you were to pull the strap thru the steel rings, yes. But does it adjust from 15' to 07 feet via a hole punch (like a mans belt) no.

            by|May 3, 2020

            A:  No, it's 15' long.

            by|Jul 2, 2020

            A:  It is not adjustable

            by|Jun 3, 2020

A:  The Only way to adjust the length of this strap would be to tie it to shorten it, but that would not support pulling a full vehicle for any distance The only other solution would be to wrap it around a secure cross beam on a vehicle to take up slack

              Broke on 1st use
Strap was bought for emergency use only. My father-in-law’s truck broke down and needed to be towed. I hooked up the strap and began towing his truck. Three blocks from home at an intersection, the clasp broke and left him stuck at the intersection. I had to tie it into a knot to get him home safely. I would not recommend using as is. I recommend using d-shackles as connections as I will need to do now.

                Nice for emergencies
This is one of those things you buy, but hope you never need. Living here where it's quite snowy, it's a good gamble. The strap is rated for 5000 lbs. it is made of a woven nylon/poly material. Surprisingly, there is not much stretch under stress. The buckles or hooks seem beefy with the exception of the spring loaded safety clip. The clip itself is made of very thin and flimsy sheet metal. My clip was bent when I opened it. To some, this might not matter. After all, it's just there to make sure the strap does not come off the hook. Not a bad little strap to have in the trunk just in case.

One of the main must-have items for any truck toolbox
BACKGROUND: As a long-time working pickup truck owner there are a few thing you should always have in your tool box. A good tow strap is one of them. It's one of those things there is no substitute for when you need to pull, drag, or tow something. The opportunity to evaluate the Husky version was to good to pass up. INITIAL IMPRESSION: The strap looks good. I like the black color, and the clip hooks looked sturdy enough to do the job. At 15 feet long the strap gives plenty of separation between towing and towed vehicles. USE FOR TOWING: I didn't need to pull, drag, or tow anything but laid the strap out to see if there were going to be any obvious problems using it. I've seen and used tow straps hooking them on a dozen different ways. I prefer to find a frame member and hook the strap directly around the steel support. Wrapping the strap around a frame member isn't high on my list of attachment methods...I'll use a short piece of chain for that and then hook into the chain links with the strap hooks. Nothing like cutting your tow strap on the edge of a frame member to teach you that's not good. It wasn't much trouble to hook onto the safety chain loop on my tow hitch. That is acceptable for towing someone down the road a little but isn't the best choice to hook up if you are pulling them out of a ditch. For my Silverado pickup there really wasn't a good second option. If I was going to pull someone out of a hole or ditch I will have to put the tow ball on and hook around that or put a large shackle through the tow bar retaining pin hole. USE FOR BEING TOWED: Unfortunately, most modern vehicles aren't made for hooking up to tow by strap. Damaging transmissions aside, all the plastic will tear away unless you are very careful where you hook up. Even my 2014 Chevy pickup would be impossible to hook up for towing by strap because all the structural members are shrouded by plastic. I'f I'm ever in a ditch I'll have to look at the less desirable methods of getting pulled out. But the strap would be sufficient to get me out after I was hooked up. SUMMARY: This is a nice strap. If you have to pull someone driving anything smaller than a semi this should do the job. Just make sure you don't hook onto plastic parts to do the job. I'm glad to have it in my truck toolbox.

Excelent Tow Strap! Solid Galvanized Hooks A Real Plus! Husky Is Awesome
When it arrived it was a small rolled up unit. 1st thing I did notice was it wasn't going to take a lot of room in the storage space in my truck & I liked that. The strap material is 2 inch Webbing that is soft to the touch & very pliable allowing easy maneuverability for ease of hook up even in very cold Montana Weather! The Two Hooks are Galvanized & will aid in longevity of the tow strap even in the harshest conditions. This was a good item to have in your truck or car trunk. Worth the Money!

                Medium Duty Strap
This is a good tow strap to have in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The size and weight make it easier to store than larger, heavier duty straps. However, this strap has it's shortfalls. It's definitely not a heavy-duty, daily use strap. The hook size would prevent this strap from having long term longevity. When choked, the clasp of the hook will tear into the edge of the strap as shown in my pictures. The small diameter of the hooks is also an issue of hooking to a larger pin (i.e. shackles, adapt-a-ball pins, etc.). I would suggest this product to be the one for your trunk or emergency kit that you would rather have and not need, than need and not have. As a daily or weekly use strap, I would suggest a heavier duty product.
