Questions & Answers

Can this cut some small branches like fig trees

Asked by: Andrea
It can, but that might be overkill. Hand pruner or lopper would work best. The Fiskars brand for those are awesome!

FYI, I bought this as a "burner" saw for cutting up carpet covered sections of "cat trees" containing staples. I don't expect long life for this saw when being used for that, but it works well for that purpose. The short length is a bit of a pain because you have to watch how far you go on the backstroke; you run the risk of buckling the saw on the forward stroke if you pull back too far. However, I think it will be useful when trimming tree branches and such, especially in wooded areas where you don't have a lot of room to move around. At its current price it's worth having for those jobs where you don't want to risk damaging your "good" panel saws. The tote is nowhere near ergonomic. Suggest you wear gloves when using.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Husky 15" saw Very handy tool to have available for unexpected or occasional cutting. Fits in small spaces and rips through 2x4's or tree limbs. Nice backup saw for short money.

This saw was inexpensive, very lightweight, and not worth a dime. I needed something small for minor projects around the house. I almost didn't buy this saw because I know that you really do get what you pay for, but I thought it would get me through the small stuff. This saw was hard to get started and wouldn't cut well at all. Not a good product.

We needed something finer for sawing lightweight planks of crown moulding. So, not the saw's fault. I imagine this would be better for larger, less delicate work. That said, with a lot of care, we managed with this and it did the job.

Works better than a power saw for quick jobs, and does more than a pruner. Save the paper sleeve to store your saw and to protect the blade edge when not in use. Great price!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Agressive It is agressive. I actually bought the saw for a special job I had. Then there was th tree limbs that needed sawing up. Now this little saw is so handy to have around. Starting the cut is a little harder with agressive teeth .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sharp Saw Saw very sharp and it did what I needed it to do but if you need to do a lot of cutting I probably would get a longer saw. This one isn't very long and I consider it for small. All in all though, a good saw. I would recommend
