Fully open the drawer. You will see levers on the slides where the two pieces meet. Press the left lever down and pull the right lever up and then continue to pull the drawer outward. If you are still having issues, please call us at 1-888-HD-HUSKY for assistance.

I have one of these in my garage with the top box and two in my office without casters and a butcher block on it. They're great for tool storage and get the job done.

Not Bad, but not as nice as larger husky boxes
I'll start by saying this works fine. The only issue is Husky seems to make little to none of their boxes. The same can be said of the Milwaukee brand at Home Depot. The big boxes have better drawer glides, the handles have plastic end caps, and they typically come with drawer liners. The other big difference is that there are no other boxes with this finish. It is a special type of texture. The large husky have sanded texture or gloss. This is something else entirely. I would call it crackled if you were looking at spray paint. That being said, the black handles and assembly make me think they are from the same plant/manufacturing company. For me personally, I stripped this and redid it to match a Milwaukee box. It took some work, but I liked the result. For many it’s hard to tell it’s not a Milwaukee original and it sits 2’ from my larger Milwaukee box. I also bought the wood top for this and the drawer liner roll. My only other complaint is the Husky drawer liner roll is exactly one drawer short on material. So you need to buy two rolls or have a patchwork from scraps on one drawer.

We have purchased two. Purchase #1. Using it for a dog grooming cabinet. It is completely full. I looked at every cabinet on the market, even those more far more expensive. This was the one with the right configuration of drawer sizes. See picture with the wood top. Purchase #2. My husband wanted a new cabinet just for his wood working tools. He looked at many on the market, found a much more expensive one with soft lined drawers, he chose this one after I showed him the drawer liner I bought for mine. Perfect. Not the least expensive or the most expensive. Just right. Worked out for both of us.

Really happy with this toolbox. Great size for my basement shop. Solid construction. Drawers are very smooth acting. I added liner to keep my tools from shifting.

I bought this toolbox to corral my growing household tool collection and get it off of one of my storage rack shelves! It is perfect! My hand drill, Sawsall, palm sander fit in the bottom. Hand tools in drawers and chargers for tops on top! Love it. Good quality for price! Would definitely consider this brand for future purchase!

Good product, for the most part, but hope you get one undamaged.
Bought four of these and picked them up via curbside service. One was a floor model, but it looked fine, so what the heck. Three of the four went together well. I didn't use the wheels that came with it, but instead used some very low profile roller bearings so I could roll the cabinets underneath some work tables. Then we got to the last one. Opened the box with the cabinet upside down so we could mount the roller bearings, then when we flipped it over to be topside up, there was a dent on top right at the key lock. Tried the key, and the locking mechanism just would not work. Inspection showed that there was no damage to the box, so apparently Husky just packed this up with the damage and I guess hoped it would go to someone like me who didn't want to have to take it back to the store for replacement, but instead fixed the problem. I had to remove the top three drawers to get to the area to work on it. had to bang the top (which is not even close to perfect now, but it is not visible where I have it located), and also bang the lock mechanism itself into place, as it was bowed outwards and over to the side somewhat. That seemed to fix the locking problem, anyway. BTW, the drawers come out quite easily. Getting them back in is another matter entirely. Do NOT force them. The metal that holds the roller bearings in place is extremely soft, and easily bent. You will take easily three to four times as long putting the drawers back in that it took you to remove them. The cabinets look really nice, but I sure wish that Husky hadn't apparently thought that sending out a dented and lock defective cabinet was a swell idea.

This tool chest is a decent value for the money. I was able to store all my tools from two smaller tool boxes in this chest with room to spare. Assembly was quick and easy and I had no issues with the casters as some others have noted. I believe this chest will work just fine for me for years to come.

I’m a hair stylist and nothing is worse than having your tools packed in small drawers. You can lay out all your expensive shears and just have so much room!! I love the texture because that means no finger prints!! With it being metal, I have a large magnetic surge protector stuck on the side to handle all Of my cords and keep my tools safe. I also have heavy magnetic hooks for my clippers to safely hang as well. I bought the wood top for $20 and it looks amazing. I love it!!

Price point was right for the build quality and size. The finish is nice too, I don't feel like I'm going to scratch the finish as easily as a traditional paint job.

Horrible drawer rails
The rails are kindergarten quality. Not worth a dollar. Forget getting the drawers in without ball bearings rolling on the floor. This unit would be OK in an office setting but not for mechanics.
