Q:I've bought two of these both with the jack stands. My problem both of them blew out the seal on the Pump / Pressure release valve. There is a rubber washer inside on the valve that needs replaced. A part number or size would be helpful.

I'm quite pleased with this Light Duty Truck Jack and Jack Stand Pair, especially for the price. 3Tons is the rating for both jack stands together. I have read other reviews that noted that there is no pin in the handle for use in operating the hydraulic valve screw, I've operated it by hand, though you might use a screwdriver. Since the jack handle was missing on arrival, I scaled the box images, and my local welding and machine shop that took over retail sales from the commercial steel distributor cut a piece of Schedule 40 steel pipe "just over 24 inches." After spending a couple hours in the afternoon, I have a great handle, degreased and painted Allis-Chalmers orange from a spray can cleaned out of the old dirt floor ranch shop. If I feel the need, I might drill across an end and install a cut nail that will operate the hydraulic screw. No big deal, and the standard 2-foot handle (scaled images calculated 23.98") is long enough to not get in the way of a full stroke and placing the jack stands. Replacing the exhaust header on a 4-cylinder Tacoma will be easier, as it will require removing/reinstalling a skid plate, too. New shocks are in the works,too.

Perfect for the job
I was getting tired of crawling under my jeep to insert scissor jack on frame and twist it up and down, so I did a little research and found this jack to be higher capacity and cheaper than many others. I ran to my local home depot and was pointed to the correct aisle by a friendly associate. The box was a little beaten up, which always makes me hesitant, but I bit the bullet and carried it to the checkout counter. I figured if it is damaged or non-functional I could return it later and go for my second choice. Well, I got it home and it was packaged securely inside the damaged exterior box. I assembled the jack stands, which means removing the protective cardboard sleeves from the top piece and inserting it into the base. Jack stands are solid construction and very sturdy. The trolley jack pumped right up and lifted the entire front end of my Jeep off the floor and jack stands were placed on both sides so only one raising was required for me to do both left and right brakes. The first lowering was a little quick, but by taking your time slowly opening the hydraulic bleed valve and having patience, you can lower the jack slowly and smoothly.

Great quality!
This is definitely a heavy duty lift. It's very easy to use and gets the job done. The only downside is that it is specifically for a truck. You can see in one of my pictures that it's too tall for a Honda Civic. I realize this is specifically designed to be a truck lift but it's important to note that there are other lifts on the market that can handle trucks AND cars.
The jack stands are awesome. They are bigger and stronger than your average stand. You can see in my picture I lined one of them up next to a 'normal' stand.

Good Jack for home use
I have a few cars and was looking for a basic quality jack that can lift my vehicles. This jack works great and the set came with a trolley and 2 jack stands. I used it to lift the front of my Chevy Avalanche and it worked great. It has a nice long arm and the trolley has 2 rotating wheels and 2 set wheels so it moved easily into place. The pumping motion is very fluid and it quickly lifted my truck. The jack stands are large and they have a ratcheting mechanism that allows you to place then under the vehicle, crank in up to the correct hight and they then lock in place for a stable lift. Great product for home vehicle use.

Great Jack and Great Lift
I'm impressed with the three ton Husky jack and stands for several reasons. The extension of the jack is very good and raises the vehicle much higher than my previous 11/2 ton jack. The steel construction is very solid and the hydraulic unit is very substantial which gives me confidence in the safety of this unit. The jack stands that come with it are an added bonus and they too are very strong. I'd definitely recommend the Husky jack for the home mechanic or professional.

Great For Home Use
This is a good floor jack and stands for the home mechanic or light shop use.
The jack is smaller and lighter so it's easy to move from one area to another. Even on concrete floors that are not smooth the jack moves much easier than my larger floor jack. Since it's smaller it's easy to slide under most cars and position correctly. Even cars that are lower to the ground this jack gets under the front air dam. If you're working on lager vehicles the jacks lifting pad can be extended about 4" giving you full lifting capability. The jacks lifting pad is on the smaller side (4"), at first I wondered how well this would work. It turns out it works much better than lager pads on my other jack on smaller cars and trucks.
There are a couple of things that are different about the jack, It takes about 90 strokes to lift from the fully retracted to fully extended. The jacks handle isn't permanently attached to the jack body so you have to be careful when pulling the jack out or repositioning the jack. The handle has to be removed from the pump side of the jack to the lowering valve to let the vehicle down.
The jack stands are nice ratcheting type so they extend and retract quickly. The stem on the stand looks to be cast steel and the base is nicely formed and welded 12 Ga. steel. The finish on the stands looks like a nice heavy powder coating that should last many years. The bottom of the legs on each stand has metal feet on them, so they slide nicely across a smooth floor.
Overall this is a good floor jack and stands that would make a great addition to any home shop.
