Answer This Question

A:  Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We have reached out to the manufacturer and their answer is, Total length of the tool is 12” including the head, which is most meaningful as the “reach” of the tool. No, there is no extension thread on this one but there is space for holding spare blades or any small parts.

        Love this Tool!
In the past I have used a standard scraper for removing wallpaper, but we had a couple larger projects in our house and I decided to give this specialized tool a try, and I am so glad I did. The long soft handle is really nice as it is way more comfortable than other scraper handles. Another benefit is the quick change blade. Although I have not had to replace the blade yet, the design of this tool makes it extremely easy to do so when the time comes. Simply unscrew the end from the handle and it will loosen and be free to remove. The included cover is nice too. It protects the tool, and us from the semi-sharp edge. I would definitely recommend this tool.

I wish I know this product sooner
I wish I knew this product when I did a small renovation project a couple of years back. There was a large area of wall papers that I needed to scrap off. I used a very small stripper and that was not easy. This Husky wallpaper stripper is very large, very suitable for scrapping away large area of wall papers. It also comes with a cap for protection of the blades. Highly recommended.

        Fantastic helper tool
The squishy grip is a really nice feature to this tool and reduces some blisters with extended use. The longer arm makes it nice to use for harder to reach spots. It's quite handy the blade is replacable because it does wear down from hard use and a sharp blade replacement makes a big difference on its effectiveness. It's a very strong tool and worked well for our texture removal, I'm sure it would work just as well for wallpaper

        4-INCH WALLPAPER STRIPPER
Husky 4 in. Soft-Grip Wallpaper Stripper: I chose this product for hard surface cleaning. I like having the reversable blade with the sharp blunt edges for efficiency in getting the work done. This stripper can be used for more than just wallpaper, and I like its multiuse functions that it provides. The strippers soft grip handle also allows you to change the blade with a turn of your wrist, making it for a quick change out. This wallpaper stripper also comes with a safety Snap-On Guard.

        Sharp and efficient
The Husky Soft-Grip wallpaper stripper comes with two edges. One side is a sharp blade which I found is great to scrape stickers and glue off of mirrors and car windows. The other side is a blunt edge which I found to work great on removing wallpaper without cutting into the sheetrock. The blade is a perfect size at 4 inches. The handle has a soft grip which helps prevent slippage if your hands get wet. Another nice function is that the 9 inch handle can be removed, so that you can attach a pole to get higher spots without using a ladder. The Husky Soft-Grip wallpaper stripper is perfect for removing wallpaper, vinyl, wall cloth, or tile and can also be used for cleaning various hard surfaces. You can either reverse the blade for safety or use the included snap-on guard to keep the sharp blade and others protected. The blade can be easily replaced or switched from the sharp to blunt edge by just loosening the handle. This is a must for not just the professional painters, but all the DYI’s out there.

        nice handle
The Husky wallpaper stripper has a good handle length and nice to grip. The stripper was easy to use whether the wallpaper was dry or wet. The stripper would cut through the paper easily but you need to watch how much pressure you use. It was easy to start to strip off the drywall paper too. The Husky stripper came with an edge cover that was easy to put on and off. The stripper's blade can be changed out by rotating the handle and then pressing the back of the metal head. The blade will not pull straight out, it must be taken out at an angle to defeat the two locking tabs. Pliers would make blade removal easier and safer.

        Nice scraper.
I’ve had the scraper for a few weeks now and I’ve already used it several times. It works great, I do a lot of home renovations and there always seems to be stuff that needs scraped. I just used it to scrape a bunch of stickers off of new windows, it also worked great to scrape off a registration sticker in my windshield of my old car. It’s pretty solid, the blade can be reversed for safety and it overall it’s a very convenient tool that I’m always glad to have in my collection.

        Soft Grip and Heavy-Duty
A great heavy-duty stripper! I love the firm grip handle, and it gets the job done quickly. It comes with a cover for the blade, so you can store it without worrying about grabbing the wrong end and getting cut. The blade is reversible with a sharp and a blunt edge, and is super easy to change out, simply twist the handle and then it releases the blade so you can change it without any tools or hassles. I used it on our mirrors that accidentally got painted when we were painted our ceiling, and with only a few strokes it was clear again. I also was very appreciative of how easy the safety cover for the blade just clicked into place to lock it down and make it safe. A great addition to our household tools!

        Great scrapper
I just got a replacement for my Husky Soft-Grip Wallpaper Stripper. I don’t use it to strip wallpaper but mostly to scrap glue off floors for new vinyl. I abuse this tool all the time. It is tuff and has lasted a long time. I like it’s ruggedness and how easy blades can be changed. Blades are easily stored in the handle. Also included is a protective blade cover. This tool has been a life saver.

This is a sharp little scraper.
This wall stripper has a 4 inch blade. It is great for removing paint, wall paper, glue, or just about anything you can scrape off of hard surface's. Back when I was cleaning restaurant hood's we used to use a tool like this to scrape off thick grease. Unlike other's I have tried this tool does not need a screw driver in order to turn the blade around or switch it out. All you have to do is twist the head 1/4 turn to unlock the blade and press to release the blade. To replace the blade you just do a 1/4 to the other way to lock it back into place. I like that this scraper has on board storage for blade's. You can take off the cap on the butt of the handle and store extra blade's inside. This is a Husky hand tool so it does have a lifetime warranty. This scraper is very light weight. It has an angled head allowing you to push from the side while still moving the blade in a straight path. The package states that it was made in china. If you use this tool on glass, ceramic, or other surface's that may get scratched, the package suggests to scrape wet not dry. I took off a bunch of old tiles in my kitchen and it left behind a bunch of old glue stuck to the sheet rock. I chose to try out this tool because other scrapers I have tried just do not take this glue off. This scraper took off the glue with ease. I also used it to clean up some paint on my shed windows. My shed hasn't been painted in probably 10 years but when it was painted someone got paint on the window. I did not care about the window but I figured it would be a good test for this tool. The 10 year old paint came right off. It was like a hot knife through butter. I did not wet it like the instructions suggest. It still worked really nice and did not leave any scratches. I really like how easy it is to change the blade tool free. All the other's I've used for job's in the past all needed a screwdriver to change the blade. The blade does come stored backwards to prevent injury upon opening the package. Once you get this open, you need to flip the blade. This scraper came with a plastic gaurd that slips on snug but is easy to remove when needed. My brother's tint on his car was too dark to get a valid sticker so he peeled it off. The tint left behind a bunch of residue. I am going to try and remove it with this tool but like the package states make sure you use lubricant or water on glass. I am happy with this scraper. I'm sure I will be getting alot of use out of this.
