This Husky 5-shelf heavy-duty steel shelving unit can be assembled vertically as a 78 in. high unit or as two individual 39 in. high units. Its features all steel frame in Red with Black wire decking. You can adjust this multipurpose unit's shelves in 1.5 in. increments to fit any storage need. It features a boltless design for easy assembly. This durable black wire decking provides better visibility, air flow and less dust accumulation.

Very flimsy upright posts
I purchased 2 Husky shelving units. One was the 77 inch unit the other one was the 48 inch unit. The uprights on the 77 inch unit were much more ridgid and stronger and I give it a 5 star review. However this 48 inch shelving unit is not the quality of the 77 inch one. Yes it is cheaper in price but it is almost half the size. The uprites are very flimsy and cheaply made and great care has to be made to make sure they are not bent. Husky would be much better off charging a little more if they had to and putting the same uprites on this unit as the larger one. I dare not put 5000lbs on this shelf. I am still having a hard time putting this shelf together and am very dissatisfied with it. You really do need to improve this particular product. Bill F.

Absolute Junk!
These new shelves are absolute junk, don’t waste your money on these. They are made extremely cheap and assembly requires beating the shelf sides into place. Even once you get the sides in place, they sides like to pop out of place and the whole shelf becomes unstable. I have 2 of the older model shelves and they are by far superior with construction and assembly. I’m very disappointed and am considering returning this piece of crap shelf.

JUNK!!! Very cheaply made!!!
These shelves are absolute junk!!! Newer version of the older model, which was a lot better. The support brackets are punched out pot metal, and you have to pry apart the tabs to get them to fit, on EVERY SINGLE PIECE!!! After you finally get them to fit, because it’s cheap metal, they don’t stay in place and come apart if you blow on it!!! ALSO, they raised the price probably $30 per unit, because I remember the old ones were roughly $150. These won’t hold 5000#’s. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

I have purchased a total of 4 of these shelving...
I have purchased a total of 4 of these shelving units for my basement. After this last purchase I will not be buying anymore. Husky has taken what was an excellent design and cheapened it up into a useless piece of garbage. The racks would be going back to the store had I not lost my receipt.
Racks 1-3 held shelves in place with a simple steel dowel that dropped into place.
Rack 4 is trying to use no extra hardware, tabs were created in frame rails by a steel punch.
This design is not simple assembly and I broke one of the plastic shelving feet trying to align and force the shelf bracket into place.
Boo-hiss on the redesign for a cheap answer, this change has ruined what was a good product.
Legacy shelf mount picture included, only one image upload accepted so cannot include the glorious steel punched out tabs that shelf 4 is outfitted with.

This is the updated model. What a shame
I have the old model. This is gross in comparison. Sure it stands sturdy but I had the coating chipping off before even assembling? Plus it’s literally over double the cost. Absolutely gross. I’m returning.

VERY difficult to assemble!
Just hope it lasts. This shelving very was difficult and frustrating to assemble. Several Tabs had to be bent out further with hammer to allow it to properly lock in. We had to add screws. The POOR quality. It also doesn’t align. So disappointed in Husty. No wonder Home Depot did not have one on display. SMDH

Horrible paint, cheap build quality
You would think with the price they are asking they would at least paint them halfway decent. It looks like a light coat of spray paint with no primer under it. I can see a bunch of bare metal and there's runs in the paint everywhere. Debating at this point just to return this on principle alone.

Terrible design…pieces don’t fit together
This connectors are very poorly designed. Half the teeth that are supposed to fit into the groove are bent flat and you have to pry them open with a screw driver. What should take 15 minutes to assemble takes an hour and is extremely frustrating.

This shelving unit was difficult to assemble. Several Tabs had to be bent out further with punch & hammer to allow it to properly lock in. One Beam was actually 3/8" shorter than the others. (QC must have been absent that day). Had to drill holes to secure it to the post with nuts & bolts. Very poor design. I will never buy a shelf of this design from Husky ever again.
