I believe it will be accurate down to 30 in.-lb. I just checked mine and it will dial safetly down to 22in.-lb. It is good practice to store a torque wrench at the lowerst setting. I store mine at 30.
Hello, You are correct, the diagram is misleading. While using an in-line extension is not recommended it is sometimes required.
can't see where that is necessary. I do release the settings zero after use. also, I test the wrench on a heavier duty bolt prior to use.
great tool needed an in. lbs to complete the job on my car
It’s 24” long
Hey Bill, Each box comes with an individual certification. Thanks!
Yes it does.
NO! It is designed to be gripped by the rubber portion of the handle only. If you need to use a cheater bar, you need a bigger torque wrench.
No, this unit measures in inch-pounds. You would need a unit that measures in foot-pounds. Probably between 50 and 100 foot-pounds, depending on the manufacturer’s specification for the vehicle,
Hey Eddie, It will still be fine. The calibration doesn't have a life expectancy for storage, it is only things such as over-torquing and dropping the wrench that should change it. Thanks!
