The latest generation of the Husky Industrial 52 in. W x 21.5 in. D 6-Drawer Tool Chest has arrived. This chest adds some exciting new features to an already popular design. One of new features in this chest is the pull-out wooden work surface in the lower right-hand drawer. This drawer will lock into place when fully-extended to create a work station or place to put a laptop. The wood top is also hinged so you can lift it up to store tools and supplies. Another new feature is the addition of a 550 Lumens LED light bar integrated into the chest lid, which will provide additional lighting to your workspace. The chest is built to last with all-welded 18-Gauge steel construction and is finished with a tough, industrial textured black powder-coat finish. All drawers are full-extension and glide on ball bearing slides that can support up to 120 lbs. These slides also have a soft-close retention system that pulls drawers closed and ensures that they are secured. The reinforced top lid is supported by gas struts, which make it easier to open and close, while the back of the top till has a large magnetic plate that provides storage and quick access to frequently used tools. Also, inside the lid are 12 electrical outlets and 4 USB ports that allow you to securely charge tools and portable devices while unit is locked. Pair this chest with the coordinating 9-drawer cabinet (Model: H52TR9HDV3) to create the ultimate tool storage solution.

this box is a shop head turner.
i bought the 61 in tool box mate black and so far is the best thing i have done . I love everything it offers, every since i took it to my work i get nothing but compliments and im talking about guys who have snap on tool boxes and other expensive brands.(they mad at me) cus i spend 90% of what they have spend and it looks way better. No lie, i really recomend it you save money and getting good quality specially if you are a first buyer and dont know what to get. Dont get stock with a big bill from big brands. The box i got it does the same as theirs. Ohh and mine have power outlets and usb plugs and theirs dont hahaha.

Nice box, i purchased the matching bottom box about a year before this to find out the bottom box...
Nice box, i purchased the matching bottom box about a year before this to find out the bottom box didnt have mounting spots and the top box was about 1/4 inch to big. Pretty upset that i spent over a grand on what i thought was a matching set. Box is pretty nice but not fitting on the matching box for the amount of money is upsetting. Buyer beware.

Hi Will, sorry to hear you are having issues with your tool chest. What has likely happened is that you purchased two different versions of this toolbox. It sounds like the cabinet you purchased a year or so ago was an older version while the chest you just bought is the newer version. The correct chest that was designed for you cabinet is model H52CH6HD, and it appears that you purchased H52CH6HDV3.

I love this box, I brought it to go on top of my 3 bay matco box, the main features I love about this box is first the color my matco box is silver vain and the matted black finish matches perfectly. Second the wood work surface on the bottom draw is just an awesome feature. Third is the light included works perfectly and is magnetized so I could position it exactly where I wanted it. Lastly the soft close draws are great. The only thing I found that I didn't like was the bottom draw left side draw slide when I pull the draw fully out started to jam, I'm hoping it doesn't become a big problem with the function of the draw. I'm compensating by being conscious of how far I pull the draw out. Besides that for the price it is an amazing box and well worth it.

Great toolbox. I used both the top and bottom chest to replace two tool boxes.
There is a significant amount of storage space. Drawers remained smooth after loading with heavier tools. Soft close feature definitely keeps tools from moving to back of drawer. The top box is a great addition to the matching lower chest.

Great valve
I bought this on sale for 644 with tax including the bottom box. Being a mechanic I have a Matco box as well and I would honestly say my 5000 dollar Matco box is nicer. But for the money I would choose this box over that one any day. The soft close drawers are nice because nothing shifts when closing the drawers.

Overall, it has plenty of storage, high strength steel build, very solid construction, excellent soft closing\full extension drawers, high quality finish, included high-end tool mats, very heavy duty drawer\total weight ratings, All at a Really Excellent "regular priced" tool chest offering!"
Additionally, Husky has built this stronger 18 gauge chest offering several improvements over the non-HD 52" tool chest:
1. Heavier Gauge Steel (18ga. vs 20ga.)
2. Overall Weight is 71# Heavier (thicker steel, beefier construction, deeper unit)
3. All Drawers are 1.4" Deeper, with an overall outside unit that is 1.1" Deeper (drawer width and heights the same)
4. Due to the deeper drawers, this "HD" combo has an overall 1,159 cubic inches of Greater Storage Capacity.
The powder coated flat black finish (inside included) looks great and does not display finger prints! For overall shipping box dimensions, add 3" to the top chest specs width and depth, and 4" to the height. The gross shipping weight is 261.5#. The 6 drawers ball bearing sliders are very smooth operating full extensions, and have excellent soft closing quiet actions. With the pneumatic cylinder assistance, the pivoting top lifts effortlessly and closes smoothly. The dual 4-outlet\2-USB plug-ins (one on each side) and large magnetic back plate to the top opening offer very usable and convenient features!
Overall, this 18gauge Industrial Tool Chest has a very solid build, nicely refined feature sets, fits perfectly with the matching bottom Tool Cabinet (H52TR9HD) and offers Great Value in the tool storage marketplace!
