I've had mine for several years and it gives out a really good light as long as the batteries are good. Not sure if its water resistant though coz I try not to get mine wet..you can check the manufacturer's website to see if it is.

This item utilizes AA Alkaline batteries, but does work with most brands of AA rechargeable batteries that have there own charging base. Hope this helps!!

These lights rate around 80CRI, as a battery operated utility light this item has to meet FL1 standards that do not include CRI ratings. Hope this helps!!!

How long will this unit run before battery runs out?

In my experience, a good set of alkaline batteries will give me almost 3 hours of bright light before it starts to fade. Even then - I will still get reasonable light for another hour if the job I am doing is not light critical.

Is it rechargable?

The ad is a little misleading. It states it uses both AAA and AA sized batteries. The photo shows the batteries used are AA. The batteries that come with the unit are not rechargeable and there is no port for a charger. You can however purchase rechargeable AA batteries and a charger and they would work fine.

Most Lumens for the buck, Quality!
This 7" x 4 3/4" LED light is compact, durable and bright. I use in the crawl space under my house approximately 1200'. From standing at one corner of the house I could cast light to the other side of the house. It works great as an mobile area scopeing light and as a concentrated work light. The multi positioning handle allows you to hang it or use as a stand. 6 ratching positions. This light is not flimsy hollowed plastic. It takes 6 AA batteries, but can run off of 3 "AA" in an emergency. Wish I had a few to give to friends and family. Great light to keep in a car. Folds up to a flat compact profile. $14.97 with a lifetime warranty.

I like the concept of this light. The 700 lumens is extremely bright. I really like this aspect. The handle is OK for setting on ground. Would prefer if there was some hanging option. I was rebuilding the draw slides in a built in cabinet, and I found that I needed to precariously balance the light. see attached photo, light is in bottom right. This unit burns through batteries. It uses 6 AA batteries, and I am constantly changing them. I put brand new batteries in mid-October, and buy December, after using it just a couple of times for short stretches, I had to replace the batteries in January. I don't believe I got the two hour estimated two hour use out of the 6 batteries. I'd prefer if it can with a charging option. I purchased two because I like the brightness and durability. However, based on how many batteries it burns through, I probably wouldn't purchase it again.

The Husky 1000 Lumen LED Utility Light is compact, very durable, light-weight and ready to go when a strong, long-lasting light source is needed. The electric power at our home (in a remote rural area) can be interrupted by lightning strike or wind-storm. I, recently, used the Husky utility light during a 3 1/2-hour power interruption and am well satisfied with the service it gives. The handle swivels 180 degrees on back of the unit and can be used as a carry-handle, a floor/table stand, or to hang the light from above. The LED light comes on very bright when the button is pressed once and dims to about half its original brightness when pressed a second time. Very little heat is generated by the LED lamp and the area illuminated is very large. I used the light outdoors to check for damages by wind-storm and then inside the house by aiming it at the ceiling to light the living room and kitchen areas. Six AA alkaline batteries came with the Utility Light and the beam remains strong after steady use during the last power outage. The Husky 1000 Lumen LED Utility Light includes a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty.

This Husky utility light is nice. The handle can rotate 180 degrees bottom to top. I do wish it had either a magnet or a clip of some sort that came off the back so you can mount/hang off a work surface instead of having to set it on a ladder, floor or other surface to get it at a useable working height. The brightness is good at 1000 lumens, and I like that it is not rechargeable batteries, eliminating the downtime of charging it when the batteries die.

The Husky brand LED Utility Light is a winner! Bright 1000 lumens light operates on 6 AA batteries that are included, bundled in three batteries on each side. It will run for 3.5 hours on a full charge. The light can also run on one side of the three batteries on a lower output, doubling the use of the light for emergency applications. There is no switch to run on one side - you just remove one battery from one side at a time. Light is wide spread – illuminating up to 35 meters from the unit. This is a very versatile light. The handle rotates 180 degrees so you can angle it for stability, yet folds flat for compact storage. Handle provides great flexibility in placement of the light and provides hands free operation. Unit is virtually unbreakable – and comes with a lifetime warranty. This light has become my go to portable light. Bright yet compacts enough to fit in most places. The folding handle works well – it can be placed almost anywhere and stays. Long life from the batteries a plus given the amount of light this unit produces. Very much worth the modest cost. I have one now in each vehicle also.

I'm always seeking for the right light for multi-tasks. I look for a light that is rugged, hands-free, versatile mounting/positioning, and easy on the storage power (batteries). This Husky comes out pretty close on top. It has very rugged construction, versatile positioning thanks to the 180 degree camming "kickstand" (handle) and thanks to the two lighting levels I can conserve power when I don't need the full 1000 lumens. This Husky light is rugged enough to just tool in my tool bag without fear of it breaking. The kickstand can be used with the light in horizontal or vertical position. The kickstand handle can also be hung from a hook. This light is perfect for my work in the attic. I lights up the entire area so there is no need to carry around extra lights. Plus the LED lamp is cool so near fear of burning anything if the Husky tips. The only thing missing in my book is a magnet. I would like to have seen Husky facilitate something on the back or on the handle to hold the lamp on steel. The Husky is easy on batteries. I can go a week on the 6 AA batteries with intermittent use of an hour or two a day. I only use the high beam when I actually need it.

Nice utility light; I picked this up for use in my RV on our camping trips, now that the days have become shorter. It is bright, easy to position as a standing light or carry as a lantern. It does not have a really wide angle beam (only about 30-40 degrees) which makes it less useful as an emergency work light in say a garage, but outside as a lamp to light up a specific area, or in an interior area that is less wide open it truly works great. Right after getting it I had to work on valves under a sink and I found it to be invaluable; it lit the area very well, yet there was no cord or bulk to get in my way in the cramped space (and it kept me from having to ask my wife to hold the flashlight while I worked). It also has a high and low light mode, but I honestly can’t really tell that there is a huge difference. It runs on 6 AA batteries (included) but will run on 3 with low light for an emergency (a great feature). A nice light to have around, and a good pick-up for the price.

What a big difference from the historical work lights. This light is super bright, super compact and super light. The handle is strong and plays triple duty as as handle, a stand and a hanging holder. The light even comes with its own six AA batteries. All you need to do is open the compartment and pull the plastic tabs out and you are off and shining. I kept the tabs and put them inside the cover so when I am done using it I can reinstall and save the batteries. The On Off settings are: Off, Very Bright, Off, Bright, Back to Off. So simple to use. Also, if you only have 3 AA batteries, in pinch it will still operate. I put mine in the floor box of my Ram so I always have it at home or away. I will be buying a second one or the house. It is so thin it fits in a low height end table draw. Perfect for power failures at the house. And many other things for that matter.
