Very strong clamp with a large opening
I have some nice 4" C-clamps from Husky, but sometimes those aren't quite big enough for a job. This is a nice forged 6" clamp with good full clearance. The screw mechanism spins nicely brand new and I feel should last well. It has good clamping power for hand or power sawing and drilling wood or metal that it is clamping in place. The stamping is also done well so it looks nice when you first purchase it and they are deep enough to be seen for years to come. If you need C-clamps I highly recommend the Husky brand.

Handy to keep around
My main hobby is woodworking so I don't usually use "c" type clamps unless it's for some welding project, unless I require long, continuous and concentrated holding power. This clamp feels sturdy and is made of forged steel, as opposed to a competitor's cast iron version. In addition, the throat depth is stated to be 4.33" - although that's pushing it - but it's still 33% deeper than the competitor's. Also, the screw appears to be thinner but overall it's great to have around when you need it.

6" Husky C-Clamp
Review for the Husky 6 in. Drop Forged C-Clamp -- This is my first 6" C-clamp. It has a deeper throat than my other collection of C-clamps, which include 3, 4, and 5 inch units. The throat is deeper by 1-inch than any of the other clamp which will be nice when required. It also has removable rubber bumpen on the swivel end. The threads are double pitched, or two start, which means for every revolution, the clamp moves 2 threads. These threads look like regular NF SAE threads except for being double pitched, or two start, and are not the ACME threads seen on most older C-clamps.

Put a Clamp on it!
This Husky 6 inch drop forged C-clamp weighs 2.64 pounds. Although a fine thread (about 12 TPI) takes longer to make adjustments than a course thread, it offers more clamping force. The frame was cleaned of all flash and had no sharp edges. The finish is good, and feels like it might have been powder coated. The thread is clean and turns smoothly. The clamping foot swiveled nicely. This item has a lifetime warranty – no receipt required – just bring it back to a Home Depot store! I am really becoming a fan of the Husky brand.

Sturdy clamp
This husky 6 inch C-clamp is a great addition to my tool cabinet. I tend to work a lot with wood, and I like using it to hold boards together when you’re glueing them. With a full 6 inch reach you can glue many boards together.
The clamp has a good weight to it, and it’s built very sturdy. The handle screw mechanism turns very easily, and as an added bonus there is a plastic cap so the clamp does not damage whatever you are holding.
FYI these clamps are also useful if you like doing brake work on your car by yourself. The clamp is very good at pushing in sticky calipers so that it is easier to fit over the disc brake during installation.

Heavy Duty
The Husky 6 in. Drop Forged C-Clamp is a sturdy little fella. The clamp is a solid, heavy C clamp with a full 6 inch capacity and a good depth of reach, as well.
The thread is smooth and does not bind when under pressure. The clamp frame has a nice ergonomic feel to it and a flat, textured finish, which is nice when working in a wet or greasy environment.
These would be a great addition to any welding rig.

A simple tool that I used to clamp down on some ceiling joist support bracing. Opened and closed perfectly. This is the largest clamp they had available and it’s rather heavy. Can do small jobs too. Should last forever if you take care of it.

I would consider this a medium duty 8" c-clamp at 4 lbs 3 oz. it does a good job of clamping both wood and metal parts together. The clamping face is roughly 1 1/8” diameter and has a textured surface (see photo) which provided an adequate bite while clamping - in its nearly closed position, the spindle has almost 1/4” of side play (see photo) - the spindle has a roll threaded, single start, 9/16” diameter acme thread - the spindle collar diameter is 1” - the spindle handle is 5/16” diameter x 4 1/8” long. The flat pad on the spindle has an almost smooth surface (see photo) and is 7/8” in diameter (a 1 1/16” diameter plastic pad cover is provided to improve bite). Unlike some c-clamps, the spindle pad very little swivel motion.
