A: Not the tool to use for removing a faucet. Look under the sink on the bottom side and use a crows foot or wrench.

A: Yes...I bought this for the same reason. It works great. You just have to do it a couple tries to get the strap going the correct direction. Then it easily turns the Meon faucet base.. I have used it several times to replace Moen cartridge on bathroom sink faucet....

A: Yes it works on any size but, just apply it the right way and it should loosen the faucet nut

A: You didn't mention whether this is a kitchen or bathroom faucet, but most Moen handles have screws that need to be removed prior to lifting the handle off. The screw is usually disguised with a small cap (often adorned with the Moen red and blue water droplets logo). The cap can be lifted up with a fingernail or flathead screwdriver to expose the set screw. If your faucet is a widespread model with handles 8" apart, the trim piece resting on the counter needs to be unscrewed from the faucet valve.

Great tool for removing seized-up oil filter
Great tool for removing seized-up oil filter...assuming you have room to maneuver and use the handle for leverage. It dented the old oil filter, but so what... got it off!!

Not very strong and broke within a minute of use. This was either a defective product or just a poorly made piece. All the string inside the strap wrench was all to one side. Probably should use wire instead of string to create a sturdier product.

Very handy tool with a variety of uses
I got this after spending some time fighting to get about an 8 inch top tightened back down on the top of a sand filter for a pool. The top was irregular and was very hard to tighten. It took 2 people and a large C-Clamp used in an awkward way to get it tight. I was thinking something along these lies would have been great. Then a few days later I saw these and thought that was just what I needed to make that job a whole lot easier. This is a very sturdy built tool and should get the grip needed te next time that job has to be done. Having the right tool makes all the difference. This thing could cover a myriad of unusual uses. It's a very ingenious little tool. Don't know why I did not find these sooner. It's like a jar opener on steroids.

Got this to replace an old damaged tool. It works well.
Works with things from ~1" to ~8" in diameter.
I generally use this to remove / loosen (or tighten) roundish things.
I have used this type of tool on:
Automotive oil filters
Underground sprinkler head assemblies
Sink aerators, shower heads
Pickle, olive, jelly & jam jars
Home water filters
Probably one of the best tools that does not damage the finish of the thing you are grabbing/turning.
It also works on 'odd shape' things that need to be held or turned.
Just make sure the strap is clean and free of debris before using it on a polished surface.
Mine lives in our kitchen drawer because of 3, 4 & 5 above, but does see the other uses occasionally.
Package indicates "lifetime warranty".

I received the 8" Husky Strap Wrench Model # THD-2016-05-16 in good condition thru the mail. I needed this wrench for the oil filter on my old truck that was on a little to tight. It did the job and saved me some time in changing my oil. It is made of study plastic and has a rubber strap, this will be useful for when you don't want to mar the finish on what ever you use it on.

For certain applications can not be beat.
I have many Huskey products in my toolbox and they always perform. This strap wrench is a solid tool to loosen clean out caps and other large difficult items. Strap is large and sturdy. Gives a solid grip and the size of the handle offers great leverage. Good price for a product that in certain applications is indispensable.

Design is good and easy to use but the rubber strap is of poor quality. I needed a strap wrench for pipe work and removing car oil filters. I have used it a few times on light jobs and it has worked well but the strap has major quality issues. Out of the package, it had two slits on the strap (see pictures), both near where the strap is secured to the handle. These will certainly lead to a complete tear in the strap one day. The product should not have left the factory with these defects.
Quality issues aside, it is a well designed tool, just excess strap can get in the way. Easy to store

Use to grip, open, loosen and tighten jar lids, bottles, pipes, fittings, shafts, pulleys, and much more. Soft rubber strap won ft. t mar fine finishes. Grips up to 6-3/8 in. diameter objects.
