Product Overview

Husky spray guns feature stainless steel needles and precision air caps for reliability and perfect paint atomization. All Husky Spray Guns have the controls located at the rear of the gun to allow comfortable use by left and right hand operators. This Husky spray gun kit features both a conventional and HVLP spray gun both with 600 cc paint cups. Husky HVLP (high volume-low pressure) technology provides high material transfer efficiency, eliminates paint waste and requires lower air volume. Both spray guns in this kit are ideal for high volume paint application for car refurbishing, industrial, wall painting and woodwork. These guns are not suitable for use with Latex Paint. The guns are easy to clean and come complete with a cleaning brush set and multi wrench. The kit also includes in-line regulators, extra paint cups and paint filters.

I would highly recommend that you do install a water separator with any compressor that you use as all compressors tend to use the air around them unless you live a very dry area like the desert.

Where is the bushing that sirs under the filter?

Asked by Honeydoer March 24, 2021

Answer

The bushing is screwed onto the tool housing. The plastic filter just drops into the housing and sits freely. The pressure of the fluid running down, "Gravity feed" keeps teh filter in place and simply stops any debirs fron entering teh gun.

Is there any way that we do not have to clean out the spray gun after every use? We will be using...

Asked by dhancks March 4, 2021

Answer

You must clean the gun daily just as you would need to clean a paintbrush. The paint drys on the nozzle and will block the air holes. if you keep the canister closed you should be able to leave pain in the cup overnight but would need to remove the spray cap and brush off the air holes. Also you will need to make sure you have the filter screens in the cup as small particles of dried paint may flake off and plug the gun. Dried paint will block the airflow through the front of the gun and distort the spray pattern.

great
Great cover and very little airborn with the low pressure. You must thin the paint to prevent splatter. Excellent for trim, nooks, crannys ect. Easy to clean latex paint without taking apart.

Just as good as other top bame guns.
I was very apprehensive at a kit this cheap as I have painted many cars with those top name high dollar guns. These guns are right there. Sprays 2k primer with ease and a 10 inch fan. Awesome guns.

What a great product! I used the HVLP gun to paint our kitchen cabinets. I used Valspar Cabinet Paint tinted dark gray. The results are amazing. The finish is dang close to 'factory finish' quality. There is no orange peel and I didn't have any drips or sags. I thinned the paint 10% with water and added another 10% Floetrol. I applied using 30 lbs of air supplied by my old J. C. Higgins compressor. The attached image shows a closeup of the result with my thumb for a size reference. These guns work well, are manufactured to a high quality level and clean easily. I wish I had found this before I bought a Flexio last year.

Purchased this item to spray shellac on dovetail drawers I had made. It sprayed the shellac easily and evenly with very little overy spray. The gun cleaned up very easy using DNA.

I'm extremely pleased with this kit. For the price I feel you get one heck of a good set of tools. I've been using the HVLP gun only so far, and most of the accessories including stub filters and cleaning brushes. So far every bit of it is working very nicely. The gun adjustments are solid, accurate and you can really dial in what you want. The gun itself has a good feel, isn't a burden, easy to handle. Even the pressure regulator works better than I expected. I have mine set to max hit 40PSI sitting at the gun inlet and it drops to 20PSI on full pull with the air flow adjustment set to get what I'm after at the cap. For my connections I have it directly after my primary regulator attached to a smaller more nimble air hose and at the opposite end of the gun. This provides the least added weight at the gun for max handling, and versatility with flex because I'm all over the place on small and medium work pieces. Also provides for all the benefits, including precise max gun pressure without the possibility of overload and to store the gun easily with a single disconnect. Haven't seen anyone do this but it's working very well so try it if you care to and see what you think. The single complaint is the case wasn't molded to account for the NPT being attached to the guns. I'll be fixing that with a heat gun, then the gun can simply be unplugged from the smaller (or any) hose and put right in the case ready to go. The rest of the kit is so good (for this price point) taking off a point for 2 small molding oversights isn't justified IMO. Note the blue tape on the cup is because I'm in the middle of something long term and that's just there to help reduce air dry. Working great and the contents ready to roll when I am, though I always stir the contents with a drill attachment out of habit.

Used this kit to not only redo my frontdoor but to also stain all of my fences. It worked flawlessly for both jobs. It never once clogged on me and was very easy to "dial in" to make the perfect spray for both jobs. I got my kit on clearance for $49.99 so talk about what awesome "bang for your buck".

This kit was excellent value for the cost. It comes with everything needed to get started. The spray gun requires 4.0 scfm @40psi from your air compressor. My Makita MAC2400 2.5hp air compressor had no trouble keeping up with my light duty weekend warrior spraying work, but you would want something much bigger. Note: the kit only comes with a 1.4mm tip, which is suitable for certain finishes. I called Husky to order a 1.8mm tip and needle kit so I could spray acrylic paints as well, which they promptly sent me.

Great Spray Guns for Painting Cars!!!!
I purchased this kit along with another HVLP spray gun( 3 spray guns in total). I used 1 for primer, 1 for base coat, and 1 for clear coat. This was my first time ever painting a car and the car came out great!!!! The proof is in the pudding!!! Look at the pic! I used 1.8mm tip for primer and 1.4mm for base coat and clear coat. I sprayed at 28-30 psi for primer, 30 psi for base coat and I find it best to spray at 32-35 psi for clear coat for less orange peel.

Good product
I did not have any experience with these types of sprayers but have been very pleased with my initial uses. It is important to follow the directions with regards to adjusting the spray pattern and flow. I also had a very good source of air, which I think really helped. The product itself is composed of very quality materials and I have been very happy with my purchase.
