Husky Mechanical Pencil
Piece of junk;; not sturdy and looses lead. HD used to carry Johnson 3400 mechanical pencil which was able to stand up to job-site rigors but HD dropped that item (at least at local stores) to sell this junk instead; you can get the Johnson pencil at Grainger.

It is a lot easier to use this mechanical pencil vs using the std contractor pencil that you need to sharpen all the time. Works great

Always delivers a consistent dark line and I never have to sharpen it. I can see how it may not survive the rigors of a jobsite, but I use mine in the shop. I prefer it to the wooden pencil under those conditions.

Not meant for the jobsite

Mechanical pecils belong in an office or school enviroment not a jobsite. Husky is right about not needing a sharpener however when the lead broke it broke off and inch inside. At that rate i would go through the lead a lot quicker than a traditional pencil.
