X-Large Husky Magnetic Mechanics Gloves My first pair of Husky’s was in size Large because that’s the size I normally wear. I think in my former life in the Marine Corps I was issued size 9 ½ gloves and I believe that equates to “Large,” but this first pair of Husky’s were a bit tight for my tastes so I got another pair that I am reviewing here in X-Large size. They fit perfect! I mean they are the exact length of my fingers and literally fit me like a glove should. The fingertip material allows use of a touch screen which is another nice touch as I’ve lost a call or two trying to get a glove off before the call times out. The magnetic feature is pretty powerful and holds more metal that one would think (see photos). This is another nice feature when working down in an engine well with cotter pins, washers and such.

Jack of all trades, master of none describes these gloves. Medium was a tight fit which is how I like it. Changed spark plugs/coils with no hindrance. Did a tire rotation and new pads/rotors all the way around and they worked great. A radiator replacement went well until I couldn't feel the hidden M6 bolts or unclip the electrical connections for the fans. That's all I've done in the 12 days since I've had them. I had no trouble picking up M6 nuts, but washers or fine manipulations are out. These gloves are best suited for larger work like tire rotations, brake or suspension work, or situations where when the bolt finally breaks free you wind up punching something. Those knuckle protectors will definitely be worth the extra bulk then. The magnetic area on the back is fairly strong but just a gimmick. It would be foolish to have something like timing belt cover bolts stuck on the glove while you are reaching down in the engine bay working. They'll get knocked off! One of those cheap stainless bowls with a magnetic base is a far better idea---stick them on the fender. The touch screen pads on the fingers worked fine, but it seems like a good way to set up your screen for a scratch from an in-bedded piece of trash. I've never understood why companies put terry cloth areas for sweat. Are you going to rub a dirty glove across your face and give it even more reason to stink and need washing? I like the straps. Although I haven't used the gloves long they are showing no signs of wear. They're just a little dirty now. My personal preference is for the gel padded gloves for impact work and thin polyurethane coated gloves for general mechanical work. The gel pads seem to dampen vibration and impact much better than these foam based gloves. I'd like to see Husky drop the magnetic area and use the savings to switch to a gel based impact/vibration absorbing pad.

These gloves are super awesome. They shattered my low expectations of what I assumed they couldn't do. The gloves are well designed and well built. Even though they are fingerless they keep my hands warm under the hood. I really love the snugg fit but the most impressive feature is the magnetic back to the glove. I assumed they wouldn't be strong at all but these magnets are tough. Check out my pics! They also have great grip and there are little nylon ringlets around the knuckles so you can store small pieces.

These are comfortable, functional gloves. I ordered them in a medium as I have smaller hands and they fit well. The material is comfortable and actually breathes well. The thumb and first two fingers are touch screen compatible, so I was able to wear them and still use my phone. Super convenient. The magnet on the back is not huge, but it holds fasteners and other similarly sized objects well. I use the magnet for extra hex bits more than anything. It makes changing bits for a project easy. These are "heavy duty" according to the description. I think that primarly refers to the added cushion and rubber around the glove. There are pads on the palm and rubber protectors over the knuckles for when you are reaching into tight spaces, particularly when working on automotive projects. Both keep your hands from taking excess abuse. Overall, I really like these. They fit well and the added protection is well placed.

Magnetic Mechanics Gloves. Made by HUSKY, well, they worked out fine, a little tight, but that was my fault. Just the same they're good to work with and having a magnetic surface where you could keep from losing small parts and pieces is a plus for me. That also goes for having knuckle protection which is another good point. So yeah I would say they're a useful pair of gloves to have.

I like these gloves because they are soft and not stiff like other mechanic gloves that I have. They are very flexible and don't pinch your fingers when you bend them. The magnet on the back is very strong. It is stronger than I thought it would be for that size of a magnet. These gloves are comfortable too. They feel really good on.They seem to be holding up really well.

These Husky magnetic gloves are very versatile. Wear them doing most any job. Electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry or any honey-do project around the house. The fingertips are open for feel, the palms are heavily padded for protection from blisters or cushion from surfaces. The magnets allow instant access to parts or tools needed and they stick together when the job is finished. They are very comfortable and fit snuggly on your hands.

Warning: if you wear Medium order large as they are a bit undersized !! Husky and The Home Depot have fixed a problem we all, at one time or other, have had ! How to hold extra fasteners while we work alone !! These gloves are also padded on the palms and back of hands to protect you ! The open fingers make it easy to hold on to fasteners and the tools ! The leather with poly construction will last for a while ! I also love the loops on the middle fingers make them easier to take off !!

The Husky Magnetic Heavy Duty Impact Mechanics Glove is a great design, comfortable fit, good material, and has padding right where you need it if you're scraping your hands, fingers, knuckles, etc. while underneath a car or doing any other work where you might require heavy duty gloves with padding and magnetic backsides. The only negative to the glove is the X-Large is a little tight on my hand, but maybe this is because of the bulk. I think they do make an XXL glove, but I usually wear a Large or an XL, so I was not anticipating the fit being as snug as it was. Otherwise, it's a great glove, and maybe my hands are just getting fatter!
