Handy Little Tool
This Husky Precision Magnetizer/Demagnetizer is a pretty handy tool. It's super simple to use and small enough to carry around in your pocket if you needed to. As you can see from my pictures I had a Phillips Head screwdriver that was not magnetized. After running the screwdriver through the positive hole it was then magnetized and could pick up a screw bit. When I was done with it, I ran it through the negative hole and it was then demagnetized and could no longer pick up the bit. It's not a super strong magnetism but it can pick up small items like bits and screws, etc. And it works well on a multi-bit screwdriver to help keep the bits inside the socket end.

Tried it for small pins and it did not work. Wondering now if the electric ones that watch repairers use is what I should have bought.

I needed a magnetized screwdriver to pull and insert screws into mounting equipment in a very confined space. I thought I would have to buy a set of magnetized screwdrivers but this device worked great and I was able to use it in the confined space.

Awesome
Almost 30 years ago I had to use the magnetic on old speakers to magnetize all my screwdrivers, and it took hours or days to pickup screws. This one is great, just few seconds, that it. I don't know how long it will be last, but I'm really don't care since this tool can magnetize/demagnetize that quick.

So easy
I can't tell you how many times I've needed this device in my 50 + years of construction work. Both the magnetizing and demagnetizing features come in so handy. It is so easy to use, giving you the choice if you need screws to stick to the driver or not. Some times a magnetized driver is ideal and other times, it can be a nuisance, now you have a choice. Simply slide the driver back and forth in the slot of your choice for the job you are doing.

Very disappointed, I do not recommend:
I bought the Husky Precision Magnetizer and Demagnetizer today, tried it on several screwdrivers, didn’t work on any of them. One star for price since it won’t let me post without a star, may return but probably not worth the hassle.
