Questions & Answers

What’s the cost to buy extra shelves.
BySep 25, 2026

Answer This Question

Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, additional shelves are not available for purchase.

By|Oct 1, 2026

Can the shelves be removed to store long handled garden tools? (Rakes & shovels… etc.) I saw one shelf must remain for stability. Does that mean a middle shelf must remain or could it be an upper shelf to leave a large space at the bottom?

    Answer This Question

Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, yes, at least one shelf must remain for rigidity. There are multiple positions for the shelf, so you can choose a position you prefer for it.

      Answer This Question

According to the HD AI bot "The cabinet you are referring to with SKU 1001488133 and the cabinet with SKU 206288227 both share the model number G3602T-US. This indicates they are the same product."

They can't be the same. There's a $100 difference between the two

Because there is such a big difference in price, I would also like to know what the difference is between these two SKUs which share the same model number.

I see that it is not recommended to install casters but is it possible if one chooses to?

              Answer This Question

Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, this cabinet is not designed to work with casters. And it is not recommended to attach casters to it for safety, because tipping over could be caused.

                Answer This Question

Home Depot: same question has been asked x6. Every time it's been answered by HD, the answer has been *wrong.* Dunno why people are marking the answer as helpful. The 'answer' has been the *assembled* dimensions. We're asking about the BOX dimensions!!

                By|Jul 1, 2026

Box dimensions are 75"L x 19"W x 12"H. Not sure about the exact shipping weight, I would guess it is pretty close to the advertised weight of the cabinet.

                        Damaged fasteners
The cabinet came with two damaged bolt fasteners that captured the bolt and broke off in the body of the cabinet so that the bolt can't be removed. One of the two bolts is blocking me from installing the door, so I'll have to cut it off. Would not recommend.

Extremely Disappointing – Plastic Film Is Impossible to Completely Remove
Every single panel is covered in a thin plastic protective film. The problem is that the product is apparently assembled with the film still in place. Rivets, rivnuts, handles, and other hardware are installed directly over the film, permanently trapping pieces of plastic underneath them. The bends and folded edges of the panels are also a huge pain to deal with. The film constantly tears as you try to pull it around corners and out from underneath hardware. I spent a couple of hours just trying to remove the plastic film, and it is still impossible to remove completely. This is completely unacceptable, especially for someone specifically looking for a plastic-free storage solution. I bought a metal garage storage system because I did not want exposed plastic throughout the product, yet I am now left with pieces of plastic film permanently trapped underneath rivets, rivnuts, handles, and seams. The manufacturer should remove the protective film before the final hardware is installed and the product is assembled. A customer should not have to spend hours with tweezers picking shredded plastic out of a brand-new product—and still be unable to get all of it out. This is a completely avoidable manufacturing and quality-control issue. The overall quality of this product is poor. Mine arrived with scratches and visible stretch marks/deformation on the metal panels, which is also very unacceptable.

                            Damaged (four of them)
I ordered two cabinets, they were delivered and the shipping boxes looked fine. When I pulled the parts out they were all bent and damaged, really bad. They were then picked up and replaced with two more of the same model, and those two were damaged as well!! I didn’t want to do another return so I assembled both and they were awful to put together, wouldn’t stay shut, wouldn’t align well at all. Really disappointed, I’m seeing other reviews like this, must have been a bad batch. I had them returned and reimburse, I’ll find other cabinets.

                              Flimsy house of cards
Let me begin by saying, I own many Husky brand tools. For an in-house store brand the are perfect for occasional use. I was looking at the Gladiator cabinet, but the reviews and features of the Husky, especially the shelf weight capacity made my mind up. I could not be more disappointed with these cabinets. I bought two of them and both showed up damaged. I had no choice but to accept them since I had no time to wait for replacements, and figured those could be worse. Now the details. (1)You will spend more time removing the protective plastic coating than actually assembling the cabinet. I learned my lesson on the first one. (2) The door locking a securing mechanism could not keep a raccoon out, flimsy would be a compliment. (3) They must design a better way to secure to a wall and not just an anti-tip. I used some interior blocking to secure the cabinet and give it some much needed rigidity. (4) there should be a way to attach or hang the cabinets together. This would aid in making them more secure. (5) I could keep going, but I suggest you go to the store and really handle these cabinets. I can now see why the heavier gauge cabinets are much more expensive. These will be good for storing fluffy pillows, knitting supplies.

Arrived damaged and delivery was not when promised
Just got these delivered today. Home Depot failed to get them to me Wednesday, the reason I ordered them so I could check for damage be for the day I had to assemble them. Customer service was garbage when my product was as not delivered. When I opened the first box the top section was damaged and can not be used. Opened the next box halfway thru unpacking found a damaged part and can not assemble. On hold to arrange for a refund and have them come pick them back up.

                                  Not bad
There are Pros & Cons. The cons are that much like other reviewers here, the cabinets came damaged. The packaging was decent but I suppose that didn’t stop the warehouse people from tossing it around, apparently. The pros are that the dents were in mostly inconspicuous areas on the inside and not visible. The assembly was simple and once assembled it felt very solid and secure. Overall, it was a decent purchase.

The product is great. It was delivered with clear damage to the corners though hence the 4 not 5 star review. Second HD Husky product that was delivered damaged.

Stay far away from these cabinets. Don’t purchase.
Stunned by the number of positive reviews on this item. These have to be the worst such cabinets or shelves for utility or garage that I think I have ever seen. Their flimsy nothing is machine correctly. I’ve had nothing but difficulties trying to get screw holes to lineup. It’s been horrible horrible experience. And I do this sort of thing all the time. Really awful never never ever ever. Would I recommend this purchase
