      A:  The CAP is made of recycle material, knowing that china any plastic. for what is underneath, I have not torn them.

        A:  The material on the back of the cap is a polyester type cloth it is not the rip-stop fabric. The cap itself is a hard dense plastic. Pads held up fine only complaint my installer said the strap was a bit uncomfortable behind the knee.

          A:  The cap is an injection molded piece of semi-flexible plastic, it feels almost rubbery. The cap material is not rigid like Nylon or Delrin. The cap is great for working on wood floors. I would not use these on concrete, at least not all the time. A hard cap is needed for an abrasive surface like concrete. The cap is sewn to what to feels like a semi-rigid closed-cell foam core covered in what I describe as fairly thick rip-stop Nylon-like fabric. That's the best I can do to describe these knee pads. I hope it helps. I understand many people do not have a local HD they can simply visit.

              A:  One size. Elastic straps. Top one is adjustable with Velcro. The bottom one has an adjustable slide, and hooks onto a tab.

                A:  They are a one size fits all. I am a large man and they were fine. My partner is a rather small man and he also used them and found them comfortable.

                    Knee pads - Ok for one time use
                    So these pads have a locking tab to secure the bottom and Velcro for the top. Someone should fire the designer. The locking tab is only sewn in and not well secured. See picture. If you’re going to use them a couple of times, may be ok. Otherwise, spend a little extra for quality.

                      Work Great but can pinch the back of your knees
                      Used these to replace boards on my deck. Used them for three days in a row and held up quite well. Morning of the last day I used them I woke up and noticed a bad abrasion on the back of my right knee (the area right behind the knee cap), the left knee had a smaller one one it. Didn't notice any pains or issues while working with them...weird. Otherwise, very pleased with them.
