With Hydro Crunch 3-in-1 Soil Meter, you can easily check on the condition of your plants. The moisture meter will quickly tell whether your plants is doing well. Firstly, let you know that dry and needs water or wet and could use a day to dry out, you will never over/under water your plants again. Secondly, it helps you to control PH level in soil, acidic or alkaline is suitable for your plants. Thirdly, testing whether plants getting adequate sunlight. A: The meter is powered by solar cells. By objects, we are referring to the pot, ground or area you are wanting to get the sensor to read.

A: The thing isn't solar powered. Remember that old science experiment with zinc, copper, and a lemon? One probes is zinc, the other is copper, and the "object" is an electrolyte that bridges the two probes (a lemon in that old science experiment).

A: NO!!! The metal gets crunchy (rusty?--I'm not a metallurgist), sometimes even if you only just don't clean off the dirt. Plus the plastic part isn't exactly well-sealed, so I worry rain/water/irrigation can get in. Best is to just keep it in your garden basket (it's very lightweight) with your tools etc and carry it around until you need it. It works great!

Poor quality and doesn't work

This product is 100% inaccurate! I can place prongs in a cup of water and it shows low moisture, not dry but just moist.

Tested moisure meter in soils of different moisture levels, and light meter in varying levels of shade. Tested pH meter by varying the acidity of soil in a cup. All three meters seem reasonably accurate for comparing relative levels of these things. If you need basic starting-point information, this meter is for you. If you need high-precision information, you may need a more expensive tool.

I have my doubts about the pH meter. I’ve tested multiple souls (my garden, my grass, new potting soil, old potting soil) and they all seem to have the same pH ~ 7 +/- 0.5. The pH indicator is at the bottom of an all-purpose meter making it hard to read and you can only get an approximation of the pH levels. The moistness and light meter seem fairly accurate to me.

It is very hard to read. The dial should be slanted to face the user. The soil is under the plant s (big bushy tomato plants) It is dark there. The logo takes up too much room. Make the dial window larger and add a light.
