Is this product compatible with hybrids such as Toyota Prius? If not pure R134a, only certain dielectric additives are supported; other oils or additives can permanently damage the electric compressor.

Did you figure out if this is compatible with Toyota Prius AC? I am in the same boat, and not sure whether I should use this refrigerant in my 2006 Toyota Prius. It is hard to find pure r134a.

can I use this in my mini fridge

Asked by: chuck
If your fridge uses R-134a refrigerant, then this item will work, but you will first need a R12 port installed for adding R-134a, plus a hose and gauge set. You can add a port by installing a bullet piercing valve on the LOW pressure side of the compressor. (YouTube has numerous videos on installing bullet-piercing valves, btw). Be sure not to overfill with R-134a ... most fridges/freezers need a pressure of around 5 psi. Also, ensure that your fridge is actually running while adding the refrigerant.

Do they have a menu to show me where I have to connected to canister refrigerator to the AC ?

Asked by: Mike
mike,YOU NEED TO KNOW A LITTLE ABOUT DOING THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME.YOU SHOULD PURCHASE A HOSE WITH A GAUGE. THIS WILL TELL YOU THE SAFE RANGE.NEVER ADD ON THE HIGH SIDE PORT. THE PRESSURE COULD EXPLODE THE CAN AND HARM YOU. IT IS EASY TO TELL THE LOW SIDE WHERE YOU MUST ADD. UNLESS YOUR SYSTEM IS TOTALLY DEPLETED, THE HOSE WILL BE COOL OR COLD. THIS IS WHERE YOU ADD. IF IT IS WARM OR HOT ,YOU ARE IN THE WRONG PLACE TO ADD 134A. THE SYSTEM MUST BE RUNNING.

Is r-134 harmful to the atmosphere
Asked by: Rabbit
ALL REFRIGERANTS ARE HARMFUL BUT SOME MUCH MORE THAN OTHERS, WHICH IS WHY NOW WE USE 134A INSTEAD OF FREON WHICH WAS EXTREMELY HARMFUL TO THE OZONE LAYER OF THE ATMOSPHERE THAT HAS HAD MUCH RECOVERY.
