Questions & Answers

Can this product be used in winter

Asked by: Winterweeds
It's best to use November and February in the deep south. (Central fla north to southern SC). Use late October to early November as a Pre Emergent with some Post Emergent activity. February use will be mostly Pre Emergent but will handle any emerged weeds present.

If it unexpectedly rains after 24hours should you respray or will the product still work ?

No. If after 7 to 10 days there are no visible signs of wilt or discoloration, then re apply at a slightly lower rate.

Will Atrazin kill Burweed

Asked by: Southerngirl
Yes. But beware of temperature. Above 80, Atrazine will kill turf. Below 50, weeds will take longer to absorb the chemical and may not die completely.

I notice most of the negative reviews of this product are from South Florida. No one mentioned how old or established their lawn was. Atrazine is not recommended for lawns under 2 years old. Nor is Image. After 21 years of chemical lawn care, I have fixed many peoples mistakes. I nor anyone who has ever worked for me has ever damaged a St.Augustine or Centipede lawn with Atrazine or Image. From N.Florida to Columbia SC. All of the negative reviews are strictly due to "applicator error". These are two of the safest chemicals on the market. FOLLOW DIRECTIONS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works You know those weeds that come up twice yearly that have millions of seeds on their tops? Some people think these are crab grass because they actually look like crabs taking over your yard. They are not crab grass though. They are Poa Annua(Annual Bluegrass). A real pain weed due to their ability to create seed almost immediately upon sprouting from the ground. Well this weed killer kills this weed dead. Quick. And leaves the rest of the lawn alive. It does turn Zoysia brown sometimes but it will come back. St. Augustine has no problem with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really works I tried weed b gone and it did nothing for the majority of the weeds I had. Next I tried Vigoro weed and feed. My weeds appreciated the kind gesture. They turned greener than the St. Augustine lawn. I then tried Image St. Augustine. I followed the instructions on the lable. I spot treated the lawn instead of wide broadcasting it. At first it looked like nothing was happening. But when the rains came a few days later it was total weed annihilation. First they turned yellow and then black. My lawn was NOT harmed as others claimed theirs was. I shook the bottle well to mix the ingredients. I applied when outside temperature was less than 90 degrees. When rain was not in the forecast for at least 24 hours. Finally applied water within one to four days, rain in my case. And bam! it worked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works when used as directed I used on evil weed in my centerpiede sod in Atlanta. Worked very well. I am trying to contact company to determine when I can replace sod...most weed killers have a life span of about 14- 21 days. I am unsure about Atrazine???

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Completely killed our St. Augustine lawn We mixed this product according to directions and applied it in January when the temp was cool. We applied it to patches of weeds, mostly clover. It completely killed the St. Augustine grass dead everywhere we sprayed it. Do not buy this product it is horrible. We now have to replace most of our front lawn.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Deadly This product killed half my lawn. It is centipede and it had some weeds to be sprayed. I used this product according to the label and It killed everything I sprayed, better than roundup, but that is a bad thing. There are other products. Do not use this. It will cause one hundred times the work of the weed killing.
