I would say yes as long as the cover was on it securely and fastened. The only precaution I would give is to let the trunk sit undisturbed for a while, once opened as chemical fume build-up may occur inside if left for a loooong time. It is sturdy plastic and should hold up to most modern chemicals used for pools today. (The wheeled end would also assist with movement as chemicals could be heavy) and when opened-it should be in an area with lots of ambient fresh air to ventilate, again if left inside for a loooong time.
