I have owned these boards for 2 months, but have yet to use them for a home improvement project. I'm having a hard time deciding if I want to use them for an accent wall (I also received 6 of these in grey-wash and six 8-foot length in grey wash, so enough to make a pineboard accent wall), or cut them up and use them for decorative projects. There are tons of ideas available on the Home Depot site under DYI projects, or on this site for example: https://www.pinterest.com/mycre8tivedays/barn-wood-ideas/. These particular pine boards are very rough in feel and appearance, and they have a lot of irregularities, but that makes for a unique project. The white wash looks more like a light grey (see my pictures against a white fence). I believe these boards are meant for indoor use, or if used outdoors they should be protected from weather elements as the white wash will probably wear off. I had also considered using them to make an outdoor raised bed garden, but I think the white wash will leach into the garden soil. The pine boards are kiln-dried, which reduces the boards' moisture content and gives them longer life.

It took me a while to do this review because I was sick for a few weeks and needed a DRY day to work outside. I got these to make a step off my porch. Built on a hill, the porch is a foot high on one end of the entrance, and ground level on the other, so it was very difficult to step up onto. (See photo of porch) I was using a temporary free standing step recently, but needed something larger and more permanent. These were the perfect size, and I did not have to cut or alter them in any way. The wood is a nice color, and perfect for any project. There are some imperfections in the wood, but being natural, that's expected. I show the flaws in one of the photos. Nothing that cannot be sanded out or painted over. Very strong wood, but not too heavy or dense. I will probably paint, or waterproof the wood even though it is somewhat protected by an overhead roof outdoors.

I am disappointed with the product description stating a "Weathered Wood" product. The wood is new rough sawn Pine that was stained Gray. One noticeable quality issue is with the staining. The stain was not applied evenly, leaving some areas with unstained voids. It is dimensional sized lumber, 1" X 8" X 72". I am planning on making shelves for my Home Office with this wood. Hope I can find a matching stain for touch-ups.

I ordered these 1 in. x 8 in. x 6 ft. Barn Wood Pine Boards and based on the pictures provided on the website I don't think you will be satisfied with them.
They don't look that great compared to the pictures shown on Home depots website so I would base my purchase decision on the Pictures posed with customer reviews which will give you a better idea of what they will actually look like.
Other them that they are fine but I'm not sure they are worth almost $20 apiece.

Be clear that this is just pine board that has been rough cut and painted/coated to look like weathered barn wood. These boards haven't been planed and milled down to typical "1x8" measurements. They are actually about 1/8th or 1/16th shy of being an actual one inch thick and 8 inches wide. They are not super straight, I would say they are acceptably straight, and in line with what actual barn wood would be.
One issue is that the lumber only has an exterior coating, any crosscut or rip cuts that expose end/edge grain will reveal bright white/yellow would that the user will have to try and match up which will be challenge.

I received the BOISE CASCADE IRVING 1 IN. X 8 IN. X 6 FT. BARN WOOD PINE BOARD DRIFTWOOD BROWN (3 PER BOX) to test for Home Depot. The wood looks like old barn wood, but is new and size is true! This would be great for a wall, shelves or any other interior ideas you can come up with! I just built a bed for my son and am using the boards to top the head and foot boards. Please see below!

The BOISE CASCADE IRVING 1 IN. X 8 IN. X 6 FT. BARN WOOD PINE BOARD WEATHERED GREY (3 PER BOX) reminds me of the rough cut pine manufactured by my local sawmill 50 years ago. It looks very similar to weathered barn board, the bluish grey stain completes the authentication. Being rough cut lumber, the actual dimensions are very close to 1 inch x 8 inches, unlike finished pine which is smaller. This barn wood pine would look great on an accent wall, the expected imperfections make it unique, unlike any of the laminates and man made materials.
