Some people are concerned that reverse osmosis reduces the water pH due to removal of minerals. Sometimes pH value may get as low as 4 to 5 if source water is hard. ISPRING RCC7AK is an upgrade model of our most popular under sink Reverse Osmosis system RCC7. It features the 6th alkaline stage, which restores alkalinity by adding small amount (30 mg/Gal.) of calcium and magnesium back into water. The pH value typically will be around 7 to 8 but depends on source water hardness. Sometimes another FA15 cartridge is needed if source water is very hard. It is designed to be user friendly and easy to install (search ISPRING RO installation video). The clear housing in 1st stage enables visual inspection of filter condition. It comes with the EU designer high-arc Brushed Nickel faucet that is heavy and costs $45 alone. Featuring 0.0001 micron TFC RO and 5 stages of filtration, it is capable to remove 97.2% of Total Dissolved Solid in water, including chlorine, fluoride, arsenic, lead, chromium and radon, providing you endless Mineral Water right from the beautiful faucet that shines your kitchen. It will not just provide your family the great tasting safe drinking water that beats bottled water, but also make financial and environmental sense.
  • This system is certified against NSF 58 for TDS reduction and the use of FDA food-grade material in all parts

Good taste
5 years ago I bought the ISpring 6-stage filter system at Home Depot. It includes an alkaline filter to raise the PH. The water tastes good and the cartridge replacements have been easy to order. Also there is an excellent manual that is helpful. I am glad I purchased this product.

    Clean Install, Excellent Documentation
The instructions are very clear as are the installation videos on YouTube. I installed the RO machine head on a sliding panel to make it easier to change cartridges later. Definitely fill/drain the holding tank twice to get to the good water. All the parts (plus spares) were easy to identify and install.

Overflow valve goes bad, starts leaking
The valve on this unit went bad, started putting water in my lower cabinet. Contributed to water damage in my floor. I contacted manufacturer for a replacement, he said he would send replacements. He never did send after a follow up. $200 system swamped out my cabinet (no warning these go bad, manufacturer said they do) and its useless to me now because i cant get part

Some little problem but great customer services.
Love: -Helpful and professional real person Cust. Serv., John is the one save me a trip to return the system to HD and make this a 5 star review. - Good quality water. Don't like: - drip leaks at the automatic valve and the faucet. Took 4 days to use.

Good RO system. I wish that I bought it earlier.
The short review: Good RO system. I wish that I bought it earlier. My back is happy because I don't need to carry cases with Spring Water anymore. The long version: This is a very nice and thought through system. I loved color coded tubing and connectors - that makes the installation really easy. Everything was provided in the package. I only needed to buy plumber's teflon tape for the valve on RO tank, which is sold for less than a dollar in any hardware store. I liked the clear housing for the sediment (stage 1) filter. I didn't like, however, what I saw through that clear housing - the filter has turned from white to deep yellow in just a week because of the rust coming from metal pipes, and that's from the municipal water supply.... Anyway, after a week of having the RO system under the kitchen sink I decided that I want to move the system to the basement and free up the space under the sink for the usual crap. I bought additional RO tubing so that it reaches to the basement and moved both RO tank and filters out of the kitchen. I put the RO tank on the top shelf of the shelving unit and attached the small shelf for RO filters to the same shelving unit. I drilled a hole in the cleanout plug of the waste water line and squeezed the waste water tube from RO into that hole. I made sure that the fit of RO waste water tube in the cleanout plug is very tight so that the waste water line stays sealed. The longer tubing that I bought was blue color, therefore you see in pictures that the RO feed water line and filtered water line to the RO faucet are both blue. I put oven trays under RO filters and RO tank so that even a small leak is collected and visible. I put the shutoff leak valve that came with the system into the tray next to RO filters. I used plastic clips for TV cable to attach RO tubing to the back of the kitchen sink cabinet. I was worried that moving the RO tank to the basement would weaken the water pressure in the RO faucet (because the water now has to travel up from the basement to the kitchen), but this was not the case. The water pressure in the faucet is as strong from the basement as when I had the tank installed under the sink. Pros: No back pain from hauling Spring Water into the house, cost savings over buying Spring Water. Cons: I now know how bad my municipal water is by looking through the clear housing of the sediment filter.

Well made for the most part. The mounting bracket...
Well made for the most part. The mounting bracket could be a bit more rigid. Most of the parts are of good material. I think the mineral filter is a good idea. The resulting water taste is good. Not that it jumps out as being something special, but is not flat nor too strong. One of my daughters (the health-nut) is now sneaking over to our house with jugs to fill up every week. I did one thing differently based on someone else's review. She complained of an initial heavy mineral taste if the unit sat too long not being used. Directions show filter at very end of system. I plumbed my mineral filter upstream of bladder-tank so that any heavy rush of minerals would get diffused in the tank. So far, no such problems. This is a good sized unit and I highly recommend a basement-wall installation if possible, then run the final output line up to the sink. This is connected downstream of my water softener and I no longer get that funny softened-water taste.

        Do it
This is overall a great RO system. Instructions were very easy to follow. Had some slight hiccups, but Francis from ISpring customer support made things a breeze and got me replacement parts right away, no charges. Make sure to check for leaks daily, just like the instructions say! One thing to note, if you have a sink with just one drain, you will need to purchase an adapter from the largest online retailer(ET116-001 Drain Line Adapter (DLA) With 1/4-inch Quick) to run the waste through. Would recommend this way anyway just so you don't have to drill through your pipe. System(any RO system) is bulky, I plan on moving mine down to the basement one day. My water quality went for over 600 PPM, down to mid 40s, water taste great to both my refrigerator(purchased icemaker kit) and as well as the provided water dispenser. Overall one happy customer and looking forward to my many years of fresh, high quality water.

          Easy Install
I bought this system because it appeared to meet everything I was wanting in a RO product. Installation was easy enough, but requires working in tight spaces. The instructions were ok, but I did them in different sequence as the manual had. I waited until I was sure there were NO leaks in the connections before i drill into my drain pipe. I also, installed the faucet before anything else, due to very limited space. The color coding really makes the install easy. Installing the mounting bracket requires moving a couple of cartridges out of the way to get to both side for drilling, again very limited space. Be careful not to crimp the lines when moving the cartridges. If I had to do it again due to very limited work space, I would removed all the drain piping to allow extra work space. Overall because it took about 30 minutes. Flush the system as the instruction manual says, and it's good to go. The water taste great, so be sure to do a side by side taste test to see how much better the iSpring water taste! Time will tell, but would buy it again!!

            Crystal clear, safe and delicious
This system is fairly easy to install. Just follow the detailed instructions. Once installed, enjoy safe drinking water and ice. After installing, the totally disolved solids were reduced from 173 to 8. My daughter had a company install a RO system at her house for 10 times the money and it did not include mineral infusion. She said ours tasted fresher. If you have infants or growing children, please have your water tested and get one of these systems to keep them safe. You watch what they eat, right? Then pay attention to what they drink!

              Best investment
We have been buying bottled water for drinking because our water here tasted wired and has lots of calcium. It’s very hard water we have in our city. I’m very happy of the quality of water I get out of it. Plus I’ve saved a lot of money. I think it’s the best investment so far.
