Awesome
I purchased this with a 50 micron filter. If you are getting this for a home, on well water, purchase the 200 micron filter. Soon after installing we began to experience a water pressure drop. We discovered that the filter had done its job but was now clogged. I called iSpring and talked with Michele who immediately knew what was going on and sent us the 100 and 200 micron filters. I would highly recommend this product.

worth the investment
I have a well and always get sediment, sand and particles caught in faucets and toilet tank. This filter was easy to install and is easier to clean. I installed this with a whole house filter and we are extremely satisfied with our now Chrystal Clear Water all with no noticeable decrease in water pressure.

I bought this filter not really knowing what I purchased at first, i read some reviews and seems ok but truth is it really make a difference to the quality of water plus really easy to clean and maintain, was easy to install and adapt to the system I built, I also used the online costumer services and Francis helped me and pointed me in the right direction very quickly,,, if i have to buy again i would no hesitation,,,, thanks Francis, thanks ispring !

Best thing since sliced bread.
With basic plumbing skills this filter was easy to install. I was concerned because I couldn't get it in a vertical position so I asked Francis of iSpring if it mattered and they went to the trouble of trying it horizontally just for me, and said it still works just fine. I was very impressed with that touch of personal service and the assurance from Francis that if I had any further concerns to be sure to get back to him. Turns out I could get it almost vertical so it wasn't an issue, but still it was great customer service.

saved everything downstream
Had some idiot contractors leave a hose on and run my well dry. Pump pulled up a lot of sludge and this thing caught it all, or at least most of it. Eventually it mostly plugged up on its own and even stopped the hose from running wide open. The downstream filters are pretty darn clean and after a quick flush the water's running in the house again. My pump's life is probably shortened a little, but this gadget couldn't help me there. Or maybe it did... Once this thing clogged it kept the hose from running wide open which probably reduced the amount the pump had to work. So double win. I have the 200 micron size.

So nice to find a product with such great machining and quality. No burrs anywhere and the casting is smooth. The plastic housing is high quality, heavy, and crystal clear. Everything went together easily. I used a couple of sharkbite valves to put this filter in my 1' CPVC well water line.

Great pre-filter
I use the 50 micron filter on my well system as a pre-filter before the 5 micron filter and UV system I use. It helps keep the larger pieces out and prolongs the life of my second filter. Things to note. When cleaning make sure you remove the screen from the plastic insert to clean the inside of the screen as well as the outside. I use a tooth brush and vinegar. When screwing the whole thing back in, make sure there are no derbies on the threads and do not over tighten. The O-ring will stretch out over time so make sure you get plenty of replacements. Nick, at ISpring was a great help for me with that. If you have any questions or issues the iSpring guys are great and will help you out. I also like to get made in America products whenever I can, especially when they are good products like this spin down filter.

Purchased this unit to use in our home.. We have a well and the filter performs great! We use a lot of water because we have horses as well.
We no longer have to clean out the screens in our washing machine and faucets! Plus it will save on having to change the expensive fridge water filter as often.
Very well built and doesn’t take up a lot of space. Only takes a few seconds to flush it out.
Very easy instal with shark bite type fittings...
