Ideal 1 lb. duct seal in dark gray putty color is Ideal for sealing metal, masonry, wood or plastic. It offers 1.65 specific gravity and is non-toxic. It has calcium carbonate, magnesium aluminum silicate, crystalline quartz silica, butane polymer, synthetic polymer, carbon black, antioxidant, cellulose fiber, aluminum silicate, tall oil rosin and naphthenic wax composition. Duct seal is UL listed.

  • Seals around junction boxes, flashings and service entrances
  • Permanently soft, non-toxic compound can be painted immediately after application

It says the material is non-toxic is it that for kids to play with it or is just an ingestion hazard?

I read that the materials that it is made with are non-toxic I just wanted to confirm if the only concern is it being that it is an ingestion azard as opposed to children playing with it in general

Do not know if it is harmful, but its not food nor is it intended, and research testing is not 100% dependable wwhen determining safety issues, so take precaution, do not rely on everything big daddy government says.

Can I use this on a flange between my rooftop air conditioner and my return duct hood that is leaking?

There will be pressure on this from the fan pushing air into the house.
