Code Compliance

Is this product compliant to electrical code? I live in Ohio.
Asked by: anset
anset yes they are generally approved by local codes but you might check. The packing states it is not allowed on wood paneling as the code will not let anything flammable in the box. Ron at ron.kipper@idealindustries.com

There's nothing more annoying than when you go to plug something in and the plug pushes back into the electrical box. You can layer as many of these that you want and this is great because sometimes our outlets are angled a little so I need two on one side and three on the other. Another benefit of this is if the electrical box is set too far back or if you have older drywall that's thicker then you can have the outlet stick out more so that it looks nice with the wall plate. This has been the case for us too and these have helped the rectangular outlets look sleek.

I love these. I must admit I preferred them in the florescent green because they didn't get lost in the tool bag. if you haven't ever used these before. you place these behind the outlets or switches directly onto the screws to push the switch away from the box so it will set flush with the plate cover. These are especially useful when replacing thin finishes like linoleum, wall paper, or paneling with thicker finishes like tile. A must have for any pro or DIY'er that tinkers with electric.
