A: Good day, Samiam! That is a good question. The button is made of brass-colored base metal with a plastic cover. If there is anything that we can do to be of help, feel free to contact us via https://support.insinkerator.com/app/ask. Thanks!
A: I believe both outlets are controlled by the air switch, so I don't think that would work. In my case, this is plugged into an outlet under my sink, so I have a second plug available in that receptacle.
A: You can but it will only power up when the switch is on
A: Hi, thank you for asking. The Power module's outlets are controlled by an internal alternate-action switch. When you push the Sink Top Switch button, you switch electrical power between the two outlets on the power module. This feature allows a second appliance to be plugged in and momentarily interrupts its power to run the disposer. The power module automatically turns the second appliance back on when the disposer is switched off.
A: You would not want to plug your transformer f or the faucet motion sensor into the Dual Outlet Air Switch because these two outlets are switched on and off by the air switch. So the faucet sensor would only be on when the switch is on. My Dual Outlet Air Switch is plugged into a wall outlet under the sink which has a second unused outlet. In my case, I would plug the faucet sensor into the second wall outlet, not the air switch outlet. I hope this helps.
A: Yes. The 2nd outlet is not switched. It is live all the time.
