1/2 in. Drive Metric Magnetic Socket Holder (19-Piece)

Absolutely love these! So much better and more versatile than the "peg" organizers. They are a little expensive, but the magnetic bottom keeps them from sliding in the drawer, even with a drawer liner. And because they are not "pegged", I have more options to store them in shallower drawers. I am extremely happy and would recommend them to anyone looking for a way to organize their sockets.

I have been meaning to organize all my sockets into one drawer because right now they are in three different tool chests. I have one large five foot tool chest with a deep enough drawer to hold all the sockets so the size of the holder is not a issue. I found the Industro 1/2 inch drive metric magnetic socket holder to be a quality built product and the magnetic base is very strong. This piece has nineteen slots for eighteen metric sockets from 10 mm to 27 mm and one adapter slot. I will use it for my impact sockets. The best thing about keeping the sockets this organized is it's easy to find the socket size quickly and when you are done you can easily tell if any are missing. I am sure this socket holder will fit me needs and be a good addition to my tool collection. It also has a limited lifetime warranty.

I was interested in the Industro socket holder since in my retirement I am trying to put some order back into my work area and tools. You only get one socket holder - that holds 19-pieces/sockets. You only get the holder- no sockets. Industro socket holder is well made and the magnetic bottom is really nice- easy to get sockets out but they don't fall out. My concern with this holder is the price point- to get this for all my 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 drive sockets in metric and SAE would be cost more than I would like to spend to organize my sockets. Would be a five star except for cost/value concern.

Every now and then I get the urge to look and see if there is anything I can do to better organize my toolbox. I had thought I might get some of these to store all my sockets. But after trying it out I don’t think it is right for me. It is not the build or quality. Those are top notch. The magnetic base is thick and strong. It is about 3/16 thick and quite strong. Note the picture with me holding it upside down with some large sockets in it. Granted I’m holding it still but those sockets are heavy ones. The only drawback to me that keeps me from filling my box with them is the space it takes up. It is pretty large for the number f sockets it holds. It has slots for every size and I don’t have some of those in between sizes. And there is a certain amount of space between them. The result is a pretty big footprint. If you have one of those large wide toolboxes say 4 to 6 feet wide and have a lot of drawer space this might be the thing for you to put all your sockets in. I have about a 5’6” tall roll around box with drawers that while plenty deep where I keep my sockets are only 27 inches wide inside. You can see in my pictures how much room this holder uses up. I think the way I will use this is when I carry sockets out to the driveway or yard to work on something it will give me a handy place to sit them. The magnets will hold them well while still making them easy to grab. Given that, I will get my use out of it but I will probably stick with just the one.

Tired of your sockets rolling around in your toolbox drawer, this holder will fix that. This holder will also keep them organized. The description says "Metric" but it will hold SAE sockets as well. The holder is well made of a sturdy plastic and has a magnetic base that not only holds the sockets but holds the holder in place either in your metal toolbox drawer or even stuck to the side of your toolbox. I like this holder but I only gave it 4 Stars because of cost, $25 seems a little high for what you are getting, but it is worth owning simply for the convenience.

The Industry 1/2 inch drive metric magnetic socket holder is a very sturdy item to keep your sockets organized. I tried to use it in a Kobalt Toolbox but it will not fit from the front of the drawer towards the back. It must fit side to side which takes more room and leaves wasted space in the drawer. It is was 1/4" shorter in length it would have fit perfectly. It may work in larger toolbox drawers just fine. I only gave it 4 stars because of this. The sockets also fit loosely in the holder, but impact sockets may have a better fit.
