Answer This Question
A:Â Yes I have done that many times as long as they are not near the max of the clamp must have enough to wrap around with some spare.

A:Â Thank you for your inquiry. Yes these can be loosened to open and then fed back through the worm drive again to tighten.

A:Â yes they can. However it is harder to get smaller clamps back together as you have to bend the metal of it more tightly to get it to fit back into place. with that in mind it might be smarter to get a bigger one, fit it to size, and snip off the excess.

A:Â yes, but a little tough on this style of clamp to get them started again

A:Â yes.

These hose clamps are decent and fit the size hoses listed on the package. (1/4 OD to 5/8 OD) They are made of stainless steel according to the package but does not list what kind of stainless. They work well for light to moderate clamping but the threads will strip if you put a lot of force on them, I was able to get the threads to strip with a 1/4 nut driver, but it did take a fair amount of effort. All in all a decent all purpose clamp for all but the most demanding jobs.

The 1/4 in. - 5/8 in. Stainless Steel Hose Clamps (10-Pack) will be added to our miscellaneous repair tool box that goes with our dirt track car. We carry various quick repair items when we go racing. These clamps provide a "quick fix" on various hoses along with small pieces of various short copper tubing to repair a leaking or torn hose that could happen during the races. I'm constantly looking at "The Home Depot" for certain items to add to our "repair kit" tool box. These clamps will certainly come in handy.

The 1/4 in. - 5/8 in. Stainless Steel Hose Clamps (10-Pack) were very useful. They were used to install lawn sprinkler system. The clamp screws were extremely useful and helpful in the contractor package of 10 units. The clamps were easy to apply going both direction. Those time I had to open the clamp up, it went back together without a problem. I would recommend this product.
I received the clamps in great shape. With this package containing ten can be used in many applications. In my case I needed a couple to repair fuel lines on my lawn mower where I was replacing the rubber fuel lines because they leaked. These are smaller clamps from ¼ inch to 5/8 inch. I have had other clamps strip out and these did not always a plus. I would recommend these.

The ten pack Stainless Steel hose clamps are really handy to have in the home, garage, or in the trunk of a car, or tool kit in a truck. Not subject to rust they store very well and are handy to use any time that you join hoses to fittings. With the slotted 1/4" hex heads you can use your screwdriver or a 1/4 inch nut driver to tighten them easily to prevent leaks.

I will write this review assuming someone reading this has never used clamps. for those that have, these are basically the same as any hose clamp. I think most of what these will be used for is things like small rubber hoses. Note with rubber hoses you tighten these down so the hose won't come off your fitting, but you need to be careful not to over tighten them. If you do, it will break the rubber.

If you do any kind of automotive work or low volume irrigation work, you know that this type of spiral hose clamp is an invaluable item to have around. The size of these is great for the project that I am working on. Oftentimes you'll have a clamp that is waaay too big for what you're doing but it will work. These are just the right size and very well constructed from stainless steel. Grab some of these for your tool box or bench.

1/4 in. - 5/8 in. Stainless Steel Hose Clamps (10-Pack) I've had these for a couple of days, used them many times the 10 pack is a convenient way to always have these on hand. They are simple to use well made and a size used often enough to keep some on hand. They have meet my expectations love the 10 pack at a reasonable price. Would recommend them to a friend.

Excellent says it all. I got these clamps mainly to replace all the clamps on my 1965 outboard. I know these clamps are superior to the squeeze-on types in a few ways, They are stainless steel so they will never corrode and they are well finished. No rough edges to cut fuel lines. I now enjoy piece of mind that I will never have to replace clamps again. I also will use them on other equipment to replace OEM types. Industro clamps are made in Taiwan and are excellent quality. Home Depot is on the ball again.

I am restoring an old Corvette, and part of that is replacing many of its hoses. I especially like these clamps because they work with anything from 1/4 inch to 5/8 inch. I tend to go through a lot of this type of clamp working on my cars, and its nice being able to get them in a package, versus buying them individually at a parts store. Thanks Industro, and Home Depot!
