No, floating floors cannot be locked to the subfloor at any point. Screwing through the flooring into the subfloor will trap the floor, resulting in buckling or gapping.
Yes you can screw into this flooring. We screwed in the plate to prevent the stove from tipping over and it did not splinter.
This flooring is durable and is easily cleaned with dry or wet mopping. We have used various cleaners on our floor with no issues. The only thing that I would not do is leave any large amounts of standing water on the flooring.
Soap and water.
Normal maintenance consists of regular sweeping/vacuuming, along with the occasional use of a no-wax cleaner. We recommend Bona Stone, Tile and Laminate Cleaner.
The best way i have found to clean this type of flooring is to wet a rag with mild soapy water. Not too wet or there will be streaks. Best results achieved by using a dry towel over the floor when finished with the wet one.
I just use a swiffer. I cleaned my previous laminate floor with ammonia in a spray bottle and water but knees won't let me do that now.
Use a laminate cleaner and then a laminate shine product.
No, there are alternating black/white squares on each plank that create the "checkerboard" pattern when the boards are staggered from row to row.
Yes, I believe you can.
sure. There will be some waste but all you have to do is line up the squares. Mine was done on the diagonal and looks very striking.
Yes, you could lay it in a stripe pattern, but there are grey “grout” lines between each square that would be visible in your stripes.
A table saw or circular saw with a fine-tooth paneling blade works best.
I did not install l myself but I did watch this video so I knew it was being installed properly. Follow this link: https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=what+do+you+cut+laminate+flooring+with&&view=detail&mid=080587D1EA620FA15152080587D1EA620FA15152&&FORM=VRDGAR
The guy that did my floor used a table saw to cut the flooring.
Such as the rolls of foam underlay? Yes indeed. It helps with noise dampening and cushion.
This product has an attached underlayment; no additional underlayment is required on a wood subfloor.
Yes, you can use an underlayment on a wood subfloor.
Has underlayment on it so I installed mine over plywood a few years ago, no problems since then.
yes, plywood would be a perfect sub floor. Depending on the room, you may want to put down a roll of the foam underlay for sound deadening.
Yes, these floors can be floated over any flat, structurally sound subfloor including plywood.
I do not know if the flooring can be installed on plywood. My floor installation was done on a concrete slap. My installer had trouble locking the pieces together because the space to lock the pieces together are not deep enough which could cause the pieces to loosen.
Yes, I put mine in a enclosed trailer.
Yes you can.
Yes this flooring can be installed over plywood. First it is a good idea to lay down some plastic, then some padding, then the flooring. Buy more than you need as there is a decent amount of waste. I didnt and ended up having to order more.
Each plank is compromised of 4 "tiles", alternating black to white. Each subsequent row should be staggered by 12" from the previous row. How large the tile is at the end of a row, however, is strictly dependent on the size of the room.
