Purchased the center mid February. We used a oak stain and finished with Minwax Antique Oil Finish,it brought out the beauty of the wood ! The only thing we changed were the knobs, bought antique brass knobs.

Paint it best...unless gel coat for smooth stain finish. May need a bit of sanding in some spots.

I cannot give a fair review of this product because it arrived damaged. From the nondamaged parts I see the natural beauty of the wood. The wood is solid and the item is actually quite heavy. It ships from the manufacturer so the return process has been a headache.
