You can use an Itex filter pump that sits outside the pool; hoses go over the top into the pool. I usually turn it on after we get out of the pool and run for an hour. The GPM of your pump will determine How fast it will take to turn over all the gallonage in your pool.
This item does not have any material that will cause cancer.
I've been using these pools for by the last 15 years and you do not have to use a filtering system. Save energy by creating a whirlpool by walking clockwise inside the pool. Kids love to do this. Let the whirlpool settle for a couple of hours. Then all the debris will settle to the bottom in the center of the pool. Throw your hose in the pool. Turn the hose on and as soon as the hose has no bubbles running out the end, turn the hose off and disconnect it from the spigot and it will create a siphon so you can vacuum up the debris that has settled in the bottom center of the pool. You do have to use a chlorine float to keep the pool sanitized.
