This Spanish-made ceramic tile has the distinctive appearance of zellige, a glazed terracotta tile originally made in Morocco. Questions & Answers
Seal the tiles or no need to seal prior to grouting? A previously answered question regarding sealing said no seal required, but the the installation directions from Ivy Hill on HD site says to seal with Laticrete Bulletproof Sealant. Which is it? Thanks

What color is the grout used in the images of the terracotta color tiles?
After grouting this tile, there is no shimmer. I bought the tile for the shimmer as my space is very dark. What can I do? Is this an issue?
Thank you for your question. The shimmer in this tile is designed to be subtle and can appear differently depending on the lighting, grout color, and viewing angle. In darker spaces, the effect may be less noticeable than it appears in product photography. We also recommend making sure any grout haze has been completely removed, as a residue left on the tile surface can diminish the mixed-finish effect.
Are these the same as the Zellige tiles from Floor and Decor?
Some of the tiles have a swirl pattern (or 2 swirls). The material comes off very easily. Some have already come off. I do not know if it is part of the design. If yes, it is not going to last long. Is it meant to be there? See the attached photo.
Thank you for your feedback. What you’re seeing may be a protective wax coating that is sometimes applied to tiles during manufacturing and shipping. This coating can appear as a swirl or film and is meant to be removed prior to or during installation. If the material is coming off easily, it’s likely this temporary coating rather than the tile surface itself. A gentle clean with a suitable tile cleaner or warm water should help remove any remaining residue. Does the variance include these tiles include matte, gloss and shimmer. I have read conflicting reviews on the tile being on 1 color and some reviews stating the variation.
This product has both matte and satin finish.
Are these zellige tiles and does it contain lead?
