About This Product

J-B Weld Wood Filler provides long-lasting, permanent repairs on damaged wood. It is suitable for both interior and exterior use, it is ideal for touch-ups, fixing cracks, chips, scratches, holes and more. For best results, apply in 1/8 in. layers. Shallow fills under 1/4 in. dry in 2-6 hours, while deeper fills may require up to 24 hours. Once fully dry, the filler cures to a natural color, sands easily by hand or with an orbital sander, and can be painted or stained with latex or oil-based products.

Overall I have been pleased with JB Weld's Wood Filler product. It's fairly easy to apply using a plastic putty knife, spreads easily and is not so sticky that you have to rework what you are filling over and over to get a hole filled. The color is very neutral and takes paint well - I have not yet tried to stain it. The product also seems to keep well in the container it comes in.

Great for quick repairs

Easy to use and quick to dry

You can wipe off excess within seconds. It fills gaps quickly and fully. It dries and matches a natural yellowish wood tint. It dries hard and is easy to sand down and paint over if you want. A great tool to fix small holes and cracks up nicely. Great for fixing small defects in projects or stuff around the house

Great wood filler!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] J-B Weld’s Wood Filler is a wonderful product for any touch-up jobs for chips, cracks, holes, etc. For the project I was working on, it took only a couple hours before I felt confident I was able to move forward with sanding and painting—it’s quick! The tube makes it very easy to work with and convenient for screwing the top back on and saving it for future projects. I think it’s great!

Doesnt take stains well

The squeeze tube is very convenient for doing small repairs. As others have said its not easy to get out of the tube buts its not that big a deal. It was easy to spread and dries quickly. I have not sanded it all yet but looks like it will be pretty easy to do. I will probably need at least one more tube to finnish all of the baseboards. I would definitely buy it again. I hope if there is any left it does not completely dry up inside if i don't use it for a while

Thick and Quick Drying

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wood filler is thick and fills holes really well. I like that it comes in white because it makes touchups quick and easy. It does dry quite fast and is ready to paint quickly. The only downside was that it took a lot of pressure to squeeze the wood filler out of the bottle. I definitely will use this, and similar products, again.
