Yes. This stuff is strong. I can't pull apart pieces that have been bonded no matter what I use.

I accidentally broke an antique license plate frame, and read about how to repair it on the internet. First I cut a small piece of aluminum plate to fit behind the broken top edge of the frame. Then I mixed up the JB Weld as instructed, coated both surfaces, and carefully placed them together face down on a flat surface. After 24 hours the repair was rock-solid and I bolted the frame back on my car. The repair is invisible from the front-side and saves my antique frame!

I needed a stronger, more impact resistant and a more heat resistant epoxy for a project. 20 plus years ago I JB welded an aluminum saw housing together after it tumbled off a two story house, it is still working, so no need to TIG weld it. It does take a lot longer to cure, but when you need tough, it is the way to go.

If you're not old enough to remember Paul Harvey's radio ads for J-B Weld, you need to do a Google search. Everything I've ever heard about J-B Weld is true, even the ludicrous. I have one in the kitchen, one on my bench, several in a variety of tool bags/boxes.
