How big is jam the thickness
Asked by Gus December 15, 2020Depends on what size jamb you have on the unit, the 4 9/16 or the 6 9/19 jamb all our jambs are measured from the nail fin position to the interior of the jamb. so it is either a little over 5 inches deep or a little over 7 inches deep, the front edge of the jamb is 1" wide unless you add the 1 1/4 inch extension at the top then it is 5 1/4 inches thick. Can this be custom ordered in a different size?
Asked by rcs5103 July 3, 2018Good morning. Yes these windows can be ordered in various sizes. Standard width limit is 48" wide and standard height limit is 30". If you want a taller or wider window you would have to go with a w3500 clad unit which has a more traditional sash, meaning wider top and bottom rails on the sash but basically the same window. can this be installed as a 20 x 24 ?

As the sizing is stated in the question, this unit was ordered with a frame size of 20wx24h, if you want a unit that is 24wx20h you would need to have the store cancel this order and resubmit it with those dimensions as this unit would be too large for the opening of that measurement.
