            The overall experience with HD was fine as usual. We purchased online two of these dutch doors for a sizable amount of money. The doors are of good construction and look. The problem with BOTH the doors is the weatherstripping between the upper and lower sections. Good quality material, but way too thick to properly close the upper portion back to the lower. There is about 1/4 inch difference between the upper and lower portions from coming completely together due to the over-thickness of the weatherstripping. There is no amount of force that can reasonably close the two together. This also affects the cane bolts that are flimsy and will have to be replaced. Once you tap and jimmy the cane bolt enough to at least latch the upper to the lower, the cane bolt is then so tight you have to get a hammer to open it again. Its hard to imaging that JELD-WEN would not realize this defect. If JELD-WEN would address this with replacement stripping I would be glad to increase my rating.

                Good Looking Door but,
                The door was easy to install. My issue is there was no door sweep on door bottom. In page 3 of instructions it shows how if necessary to adjust threshold to door sweep. Difficult to accomplish if no door sweep.

                  Nice door but one lockset hole was drilled wrong and one hinge plate only had one screw holding it on. For the price, I expected better. It worked out fine, but "Made in USA" used to mean something that apparently Jeld-Wen forgot.
