The window overall is well made. However it comes with no installation instructions, beyond a suggestion on one of the labels of looking on their website, which has no installation instructions for this model that I could find. Still, since I've installed windows before, I went ahead. There's a problem with the crank handle, where the set screw will not go in far enough to hold it to the post. I used the contact form on Jeld-Wen.com to request a replacement part under warranty. They promise to respond with two business days. That was a full week ago. There has been no response. From this sample, Jeld-Wen makes a decent window, but their customer support is seriously lacking.

Reduces heat from the sun.
Great window! The handle used to open the window could be larger. The gears are visible, not sure if it's missing the cover but seems like a pinch hazard to me.

Materials are good but build quality is garbage. It is obvious nobody tested these after they were built and it took about two hours on the phone getting passed around to different representatives to get a discount for my time and effort in fixing them. The windows stick upon opening because the tolerances on some screws were not accounted for. with a little more quality control in their factory this could be a very good product. And I will say the final customer representative I spoke with was very helpful in getting everything taken care of but it took quite a while to get to that person

Very expensive window. Sloppy build quality. My windows were over...
Very expensive window. Sloppy build quality. My windows were over 600$ each. They had sealant all over the glass and and all over the nailing flange. It took quite a bit of extra work to clean them up. Also they came without screens. Apparently They are being shipped separately. Its been months and I still don't have them. I would give them zero stars if I could!

Window won’t close and screen is missing.
We are finishing out a small cabin and just recently installed the window, which we bought in July. First problem- there is bo screen and no indication from the store that one would be shipped at a later date. As this is part of the package we paid for, I am disappointed in the reaponse from JeldWen to other customers regarding the missing screen. Since we paid for a screen we should get a screen or price adjustment. Second problem- the window wouldn’t fully close on one side. Turns out one of the hinges was not installed evenly and the only way to remedy the problem was to remove the metal latch insert on that side so it would close. Now the wondow only locks on one side. Very disappointed with this purchase.

This window does not close properly
One side of the window closes lower than the other. I measured the distance from the bottom ledge to the metal plate that holds the hinge and one side is off by 2/16 of an inch. Is there a way to adjust the hinges?

Window was made well, but it arrived without the screen....
Window was made well, but it arrived without the screen. A small refund was given but not enough to cover the cost of making a new one.
