A: I'm sure this is not a problem. I am a contractor and Home Depot custom cuts galvanized pipe for me often.
A: Yes, as long as the minimum bending radius is maintained.
A: Sure, we put fiber optic cable in PVC electrical conduit all the time. As long as the fiber cable doesn't take up more than 60% of the inside area of the conduit for a single cable, or more than 40% if installing more than 1 cable in the conduit. Note that I'm talking about the quantity of fiber optic CABLES and not fiber strands. Most fiber cables have multiple strands within the cable.
A: Yes, all PVC conduit is acceptable for the installation of fiber optic cable, there are strict limits on the pulling forced and style of pulling grip allowed for fiber optic cables, read the manufactures suggested pulling force and do not exceed that force and use a pulling grip designed for fiber optic cable...
A: I imagine you could, but there is flexible conduit designed for this application. You need to be concerned with the radius of your bends. Bends acceptable for standard wiring might be to sharp for fiber optic cable. Do a Google search and you should be able to identify what I is you need for your application.
A: Conduit is just the protective tube that you run wire, cable, etc. through in exterior areas. It should work just fine for that type of install.
A: Yes, very easily. There are electrical code tables for this. Look up "NEC Conduit Fill Table." 1" Sch 40 PVC conduit can actually take up to six #6 wires. So you really only need 3/4", but there's no reason you can't go bigger if you want.
A: 31.75 mm
